It had been about a week or so since Connor had done his English performance, he still remembered what it felt like standing up there in front of everyone, internally sniggering at all their concerned faces as he jumped onto one of the desks and bellowed out his speech. He was sitting in class as the teacher went handing out their marks. Connor wasn't expecting much, he occasionally got an -A in his classes, mostly english. Normally it was a B or +B, which Connor never argued about, they were decent grades for senior year. But as the teacher came around to his desk he suddenly felt his chest tighten, as she placed the paper on the desk.

"Well done Connor, you deserve it." Connor frowned as she walked off. What the hell did that mean? Connor picked up his paper and turned it over, revealing a massive +A in blue pen on the other side. Connor froze all over, and blinked a couple of times to make sure he wasn't dreaming. And yet whilst every instinct in his body told him it wasn't true, the +A still stood. Connor looked up to find the teacher giving him a reassuring nod. Connor just sat there the rest of the lesson, completely dumbstruck. Looks like he finally found something he was good at. And when he told Evan the news, let's just say he didn't take it lightly.

"I'm-so-proud-of-you-you-did-so-well-i-just-want-to-kiss-you-right-now-just-ahhhhh!" Evan choked Connor to death.

"Okay Evan loosen up you're killing me." Evan laughed, his smile spreading from ear to ear. "I will take that kiss though." Connor smirked as Evan grabbed Connor's hoodie, pulling him in for a kiss.

"GAYYYYYYYY!" Looks like Jared finally turned up. Alana went on and on about Connor's grade all break, Jared pretended to fall asleep twice. Connor didn't really notice, or care as a matter of fact. No he was busy thinking, he had an idea.

...

"So i think i want to be an actor." Connor's mum raised her eyebrows.

"An, an actor?" Connor nodded.

"Yeah, i mean it's something i enjoy and i don't get stage fright." His mum just stood there expressionless, "Come on mum, you keep going on and on about how i have to think about college... And i have!" His mum just sighed.

"It's just, acting is a very big responsibility and can a hard industry to get into... why don't you stick to something in the science or maths field, something textbook." Connor sighed dramatically, really just to prove a point.

"I don't want my life to be textbook mum, and you are letting Zoe pursue music, what's the difference?" Connor's Dad walked in.

"Because Zoe has talent Connor, talent worth pursuing." Connor rolled his eyes.

"And the Parent of the Year award goes to..." His father just rolled his eyes and walked off. Connor turned back to his mother, "Please mum, I've thought about it and this is what i want to do. I don't need you to agree with it, but i need you to trust me on this." His mum looked up, something in her gaze softened. She put a hand to his face, and pushed back some of his hair behind his ear, her hand brushing past past cheek.

"Of course Connor, your father and i will help you with whatever it is you want to do." Connor sighed.

"I doubt that but thanks mum." He gave his mum a small smile before disappearing up the stairs. He barely got to his room when he saw his sister.

"Hey Connor, i heard the news." Connor just stood there confused, "Your grade? For english?" Connor nodded.

"Yeah right, thanks." Zoe smiled.

"You know Connor, i think you'd make a good actor." Connor shrugged.

"Well i mean i do already have a massive ego and a drug problem so..." Zoe just laughed.

"You'll fit right in!" Connor finger-gunned her.

"Exactly." Connor went into his room and took out his textbooks to study. He spent a good portion of his night getting ahead of all his studies, reading up on textbook chapter and filling out summaries. Connor was surprised how good it felt to have things done early, he was just so used to doing things at the last minute. He was texting Evan in between filling out his worksheets. Needless to say, Evan only had praise for Connor that night. It was two in the morning when Connor finally went to bed, which was honestly earlier than usual. The poor guy's head was spinning, Connor was filled with a new sense of purpose, he was determined to finally make something of himself. It was better than being high.
