Tori Blake’s POV

I looked at Taylor. The tension between us was unbreakable before Cyrus started talking.

“Uh. Ok guys. Well, you guys can call me Skid if you guys would like to. My old friends always called me that since I’m there BMX King. Haha,” Cyrus or Skid chuckled.

His laugh was sexy. It was deep but it was very nice. It suited him. But I wasn’t going to tell anyone. At all. How could Elle not fall for him? His looks? His personality? His face? Haha…she must have problems.

“So, Skid. After this period, let’s walk to detention together. Is that ok with you?” I smiled.

I felt Taylor’s stare burn into the back of my head.

          “Yeah, sure!” He said favorably.

“Uh…” Taylor forcefully laughed, “You guys…have…have detention? Detention…together?”

“Yep. Too bad you can’t be there. I’m so sorry,” I faked by acting sad.

She gave me the how-dare-you-bitch kind of look. I felt like laughing. I had gotten my revenge. Payback. Suddenly the bell rang making us all jump. Did forty-two minutes really pass that quick? We had wasted all our time.

“Well, I guess we’ll work on this tomorrow. Maybe if any of you guys have time, we can work on it at someone’s house!” Skid suggested.

Taylor and I nodded eagerly with huge smiles on our faces. I motioned Skid to follow.

“Hey. So, where’s the detention room?” He asked.

“You’ve never went to detention?” I questioned.

“Well, I’ve never been late…So yeah I guess,” Skid said.

“I like your nickname. It suits you.”

“Maybe I could show you some tricks sometime,” he suggested.

Was he going to hang out with me?

“I’m a nerd,” I said sadly, “My mom would kill me if I got detention. Guess it’s my luck!”

“Oh. My mom, she abandoned my family and I,” Skid said.

“Oh…Ohmygawd. I’m so sorry,” I said, hugging him.

I saw Taylor over Skid’s shoulder staring. Her arms were crossed over her chest and she was pissed. Very.

“It’s…It’s ok. I have my dad. It doesn’t really matter,” Skid said.

“Ok, well, detention rooms here. Room, P2,” I sighed.

“Let’s see how it’s like,” Skid said.

I opened the door slowly. Looking in, Skid turned on the light. There was nobody…that was unexpected.

“Wait. Why isn’t anybody here?” I questioned.

          “You’re asking me?” Skid scoffed.

          “Hello kids,” a voice said.

I turned around face-to-face to Skid. Embarrassed, I looked away giving out a tiny laugh. Looking behind Skid, I saw that it was Ms. Blosch.
