Elle Damone’s POV

I held my head and opened my eyes. Where was I. I sat up seeing three faces. One was a girl with long blonde hair. Two were boys. One was extremely hot with a Mohawk and nice body. He had stitches near his eye and had a cast for his right arm. Another one was ok looking…

“Uh. Where am I?” I questioned.

“Oh my god! Elle! You woke up!” the girl said and the boy and her came to hug me.

          “Uh…who are you?” I asked.

They backed away. “Wait. Elle? You don’t remember me?” Hot guy asked.

“Who’s Elle? And who are you?” I questioned.

Hot guy turned away and I saw blonde girl sit on my bed. “Look, you’ve had memory loss…”

“Huh? Memory loss? From what?” I spoke in curiosity.

A woman walked in with a doctor in watch. “Oh my god! Elle!” the woman ran up to me.

I flinched. Now who was she? And memory loss? From what?

          “Uh…” I groaned.

“Elle! It’s me! Your mom!” my so-called mom said.

I frowned. Was Elle me? “I’m Elle?”

          “Yes.”

My so-called mom wouldn’t let go.

“What happened? Why do I have memory loss? From what?” Questions popped out of my mouth.

Dr. Qin walked in, “I think it’s better to not talk about the past. It might bring up Post-traumatic depression. Or PTD.”

“But, my daughter didn’t even know who I was! Don’t you understand? She doesn’t know anything! She barely knew her own name!”

I heard them conversating. Hot guy sat down and kissed me on the lips. I pulled away and saw a look of sadness in his eyes.

          “I—I’m sorry. It’s just that I don’t know you. But…your kiss…seemed special,” I smiled.

He looked up and smiled weakly. Then, hot guy hugged me. His hugs were warm and felt nice.

          “Wh—What’s your name?” I sputtered.

          “I—I’m Cyrus.” He said.

          “Hi, Cyrus,” I laughed.

But, I still didn’t know anything about my past.

“I—I was your boyfriend,” Cyrus said.

Whoa. Really? Boyfriend? This guy with me? Wait…what did I look like?

“And—uh…I’m Tori. I’m your best friend. This is Irowan, a friend of ours too,” Tori introduced.

“Hi,” I said, “I heard that I had memory loss…from what?!”

          “Uh…” Cyrus awkwardly said.

“We can’t talk about it,” Tori blurt.

          “I’m sorry,” Irowan said.

My mother walked in, “Elle? I think you know that you have memory loss. You don’t remember any of our faces or anybody in this room. But please, if you’re still holding on to some memories, please.”

I looked straight into her eyes. Memories? I closed my eyes and thought hard. Nothing came up. It was like my brain was blank. How old was I?

          “H—How old—a—am I?” I asked.

“Your seventeen, sweetie. You are in senior year of high school.”

My mother gave me a warm grip on the arm.

“Dr. Qin? When will she be getting out of here?”

“She’s getting out tomorrow. She is stable enough to live with you but has no recall of the past, so you’ll have to fill her in on the necessary stuff.”

          “Ok, thanks,” my mother said.

She stood by me and gave me another hug as I saw a single drop of tear slide down her face. I hugged her back in comfort. Before I knew it, I fell asleep. No dreams occurred and no memories were recalled. The thing was, I didn’t even know why I couldn’t know how I had memory loss. Was it tragic? Scary? Horrible?

I opened my eyes finding my mother’s head laying on the bed. She was sleeping. The others fell asleep on the chairs too. My heart warmed. Strangers all cared for me. I smiled and apparently that woke my mother up.

          “Hey honey!” she grinned.

          “Hi,” I said.

I looked at the clock. Tick Tock. It was 11:22 AM. Was it time for me to get out? The others shook their heads and woke up.

“There’s school! I BET TAYLOR’S THERE!” Tori jumped up.

Irowan put a hand over her mouth.

          “Oh right,” she muttered.

He whispered something into Tori’s ear and exited out the door. I was allowed to go home.

“I’m so sorry, Cyrus. I just needed someone to blame it on. You guys could come visit anytime you like,” my mom apologized.

Now what happened before. Cyrus nodded in pity and gave me a goodbye kiss before heading out of the door. Tori hugged me one last time before saying goodbye too. I stood up, my image blurring.

“She’s not stable enough to walk yet, that’s why I’ve provided a wheelchair,” Dr. Qin walked in.

          Shit. If I couldn’t walk yet…

I was stabilized into a wheelchair and my mom pushed me out. I wondered how my house looked like. I put my hands on the wheelchair wheels and experimented. I rushed forward and realized I could turn right. My mom turned back around and ran after me.

I was laughing and having fun. I seemed to know how to control this thing.

“Mom! Look!” I laughed so hard I cried.

She paused and looked at me smiling pretty damn wide.

I followed to her car and boarded in. It was pretty cool, I had to admit. As we reached her house, I looked in. It was one storied and pretty decent.

“Do I have a dad?” I asked out of nowhere.

“Yes, of course you do honey,” my mom gave me a reassuring smile, “He’s away on a business trip.”

“I suggest you get some sleep, mom. Don’t worry about me, I’ll just use this,” I said.
