Love at Fifth Sight

Chapter 39

It was the day of the reunion and the girls got dressed and put their costumes in their bags.

"I'm so excited!" Camila said excitedly.

"Me too! I love going to Dinah's luaus!" Ally chimed in.

"Right! They're always so exotic!" Lauren added.

"So let me get this straight. Masi is not gonna be there?" Normani questioned.

"No Mani. For the billionth time," Dinah said.

"Aw. Ok," Normani said sadly making Dinah feel bad, "But he will be at the Hansen reunion. He's not an Amasio so thats why he's not coming to this one."

Normani pepped up, "So I get to see my boo thang next month?!" Normani said excitedly.

"Yes, and gross! This is my cousin we're talking about," Dinah said

"Hey. You introduced us," Normani said with a smirk.

"She's right!" Milika and Gordon yelled from the front of the car.

"Ugh. Don't remind me," Dinah said with an eye roll.

Everyone in the car laughed, even the kids.

"Well I'm all for Normasi!" Kamila said as she turned around in her seat to face the girls.

"Me too!" Camila said.

"Yeeeaaahhh! Us Mila's know what's up!" Kamila said as she high fived Camila.

"Yeah!" Camila said returning the gesture.

"You guys are so stupid," Dinah said as she rolled her eyes.

"What's wrong with you?" Gordon asked.

"Well let's start out with that Camila still has my phone in her bra!" Dinah said loudly.

"I hope you're not talking to me like that!" Gordon snapped.

"Sorry dad. But can you tell Camila to give me back my phone," Dinah whined.

"You've got a mouth. Ask her yourself."

Dinah groaned

"Sé yo!" Gordon said as he reached back and gave Dinah a quick slap.

"Ok. Sorry!" She whined as she rubbed the back of her head, "Camila can I please have my phone back."

"Ok, but don't do what I think your going to," Camila whispered as she gave Dinah her phone.

"But."

"No! You just started smiling again. Please Dinah," Camila quietly pleaded.

Dinah gave Camila a slight smile, "Ok, Chancho."

"Yay!" Camila said as she gave Dinah a hug.

Dinah hugged her back, "Ok, ok, Mila you can let me go now. I promise I won't do it," she said with a chuckle.

"There's the laugh I missed!" Camila said as she released Dinah.

"What are you two jabbering about?" Ally asked.

"Nothing," Dinah quickly responded.

"Ok then," Ally said going back to her conversation with Dinah's siblings, "So Kamila? Do you like anybody right now?"

Kamila blushed and shook her head.

"Awwww! She's blushing!" Normani cooed.

"Oh gosh!" Kamila said as she hid her face.

"Awww come on mini me! Who is it?" Camila asked.

"Ugh," Kamila groaned, "It's Brandon," she mumbled.

"Brandon? As in Brandon Folau. Siope's little brother?" Dinah questioned.

Kamila nodded her head.

"Oe! Get it sis!" Dinah cheered.

Kamila looked at Dinah in shock.

"What? Just because Siope and I didn't work out, doesn't mean y'all won't. We all know Siope want the worst of my exes. Brandon's a little cutie pie. He's super shy tho," Dinah explained.

"And apparently super cute," Lauren teased.

"Very," Kamila said under her breath.

"I heard that!" Camila said with a laugh.

Kamila blushed some more.

"Aww my little sis getting a boyfriend," Dinah said a little bit too loud.

"What about a little sister and a boyfriend?" Milika asked.

Kamila shot Dinah a glare, "Nothing mom. No one has a boyfriend," Kamila explained.

"Better not," Gordon added.

Kamila nervously laughed and looked out the window. "Oh look we're here. Let's forget this conversation happened and go to the reunion," she said as she hurriedly got out the car.

The girls and the kids laughed as they got out the car. Dinah's parents quietly laughed and high fived. They got out and met everybody in the Amasio family. And to do that it took quite a long time. So that by the time they were done being introduced they only had 20 minutes to eat then get up and perform.

"Ewww! What is this?" Camila asked as she pointed at something on her plate.

"Chop Suey! It's good! Try it Mila!" Dinah persisted.

Camila shook her head. "No. I want pizza," she pouted.

"Please!" Dinah said with a frown and puppy dog eyes.

"Uggghhh! You know I can't resist when you do that! Fine I'll eat the weird worm looking noodle thing," Camila said as she carefully placed the Chop Suey in her mouth.

At first her face was contorted in disgust, but then she smiled realizing how good it was!

"Yummy! I want more," she asked.

The rest of the girls laughed.

"Girls it's time!" Gordon announced.

"Later Mila! It's time to sing and dance!" Dinah said as she took Camila and Normani's hands while they grabbed Lauren and Ally's and ran back stage.

They changed into their costumes and started immediately. They had a blast! When they finished everyone clapped and cheered! And they got a ton of those shouts that only a Polynesian can do!

Dinah and the girls had so much fun! Afterwards the entire family at the reunion, and the girls, went out to the beach. They swam and played volley ball and beach soccer! It was one of the best days in Dinah's life. She was genuinely happy. Her life was amazing! It was like she never met Zayn Malik, the boy that hurt her and broke her heart. Things were changing for the better!
