Chapter 43

Phone Convo

"Liam... Heeeyyy. Whats up?" Dinah said hoping this had nothing to do with Zayn.

"Nothing much. It's just that I need a favor," Liam said quietly.

"What is it?" Dinah sighed.

"I need you to talk some sense into Zayn," Liam said quickly.

"Gosh. I... I don't think that's gonna happen Liam. Sorry. Bye." Dinah responded just as quickly as she was about to hang up.

"No! Dinah wait wait wait!" Liam screamed.

Dinah brought the phone back up to her face, "What Liam? I'm not really up to talk about him!"

"Look Dinah, we just kicked him out of the band and-" Liam started. "What do you mean you kicked him out of the band? Why would you do that?!" Dinah interrupted.

"Listen. Zayn has become... Un-cooperative. He's not good for our image," Liam stated.

"Image? He's your band mate! Your friend! You can't just ditch him like that!" Dinah yelled.

"I didn't ditch him! He's still getting paid. Well his parents are. They're taking care of him. I had to kick him out. He wasn't setting a good example for the fans or the rest of the boys. Ever since your break up he's been really weird. His apartment has been taken over by the government because he just refuses to get up and pay the bills. He can pay them he just chooses not to!  So he's back with his parents, but he's been giving them trouble to. He's not doing anything Dinah. He doesn't eat! All he does is sleep, drink beer, and... drugs." Liam said solemnly.

"Wha- whe- why-" Dinah stuttered, "Who gave him drugs?"

"I'm not sure. I think it was his friend, Jay. But I'm not sure."

Dinah sighed angrily, "Well I can't do anything Liam. I've got my family and we're super busy. We're leaving soon. I've got shows to do with the girls and family reunions to attend. I can't help you I'm sorry..."

"What do you mean you can't help?! You're the cause of this! He's like this because of you! No one else! He's specifically said that nothing's worth it because you're not there. You need to fix this!" Liam yelled.

"I don't NEED to do anything! Goodbye Liam!" Dinah yelled back as she hung up.

She flopped onto the couch and gave a huge sigh.

Life should not be this hard! - She thought to herself.
