Chapter 17

Cordelia's p.o.v

Once the girl admitted to killing Wells because Jaha floated her parents, Bellamy told a few people to keep an eye on her, we couldn't kick her out of camp as she was so young, it would just be wrong. After that whole ordeal I sauntered back to my tent just sat on the make shift bed, I don't know how long I'd been sitting there but some time later Finn came in and sat down next to me.

"If it's not too much to ask, What happened between you and Murphy?" He asked and I sighed as Jasper and Monty were the only ones who knew what happened between Murphy and I.

"When Jasper and I were growing up Murphy and I were the best of friends, this was after I beat him up for taking my candy bar. But anyway, we were really good friends, always told eachother everything. He even knew I was an illegal child yet he never told Jaha, but one day everything changed and he told Jaha how I was technically illegal that's when things turned sour between us,"....

Flashback

Cordelia's p.o.v (age 14)

Today was like all others up here on the ark, the stars floating around the everlasting night sky we always had, our oxygen supplies depleting day by day. I was walking around farm station with my best friend Murphy, he's from a neighboring station but we met in school.

As far as our friendship goes we have our ups and downs, often bickering over stupid little things but we always work things out in the end.

"So where's your brother?" Murphy asked as we made our way into the center of the ark.

"Somewhere with Monty no doubt," I state giving Murphy a playful nudge, he nudged me back, an evident smile on his face.

"You know I'd love to see Earth one day and be able to walk on it," I say as I looked out the huge window at the beautiful planet below us.

"Yeah I bet it's beautiful down there," he says and I nod "yeah."

We goofed off for a bit before I had to go back to my living space, I walked in to see my brother and mother chatting at the table, mom was also putting dinner together for us. We had a nice family meal, then Jasper and I went and played some checkers. All was well until there was a knock on our door. Mom went and talked to the person, it was Jaha......

End of flashback

"I knew it was Murphy who told because the only other person besides him that knew was Monty and he'd never do that to me. Jaha gave me a week to spend with Jasper and mom before sending me up to the sky box. A few years later I heard that Murphy got put up there and was so happy that he got in the sky box after what he did to me. Yet I realized that you can't spend your whole life hating someone, so I've learned to forgive him for what he did to me," I finished telling him the story. I was shocked that he listened the whole time as it was a long story.

"You amaze me more and more each day," he finally says causing my face to flush, but I played it off.

"Well I am a truly amazing person," I say giving him a sarcastic wink before lying down and eventually falling into a deep sleep.......
