Chapter 26

Cordelia's p.o.v

The coals of the fire began burning out as I sat next to it. Daybreak was among us as the sun slide into the morning sky. It shone brightly above me giving me the perfect light.

A sketch pad and pencils from the old bunker were in my lap as I started drawing a butterfly. I saw one the other day and it was so beautiful that I had to capture the moment forever.

"How are you so good at that?" I heard Aidan say as he sat beside me.

"Well I've had loads of practice. But you should see Clarke's drawings, she's amazing," I exclaimed looking over at him with a smile.

"I bet they are, but right now I need your help," he says with a scared look. As I set my things down I could feel Finn's eyes on me from across the camp.

"Sure, how can I help you oh troubled one?" I say and he laughed before playfully nudging me.

"Well I need your expertise in hunting," he says with a subtle nod and I smiled.

"Now that I can help you with," I state and we both stand up.

Together we made our way over to get supplies for snares and what not whilst also grabbing some knives as well as a few spears.

"Hey Jas and Mont. We are going for a walk you wanna come with us," I yelled over to them and they looked up.

"Sure anything to get out of this morbid place," Monty says as they walk over to us.

It's great the Jasper has finally gotten over his fear of being out of the camp. Now he comes on walks with me or Octavia but also goes on berry picks or hunting trips. It's good to see him back to his old self again.

"Collins will go with you," Bellamy says looking over at me as he approached us dampening my once happy mood. Freckles is really annoying at times.

"Why Freckles why?" I complain giving him a look.

"Because I said so Princess," he says and I glare at him.

"Because I said so Princess," I say under my breath to mock him which caused Monty to laugh.

"Can I hurt him?" I asked as Bellamy walked away.

"I don't think Octavia would like it if you hurt her brother," Jasper says matter of factly and I groan.

"Well she doesn't have to know," I informed them but they shake their heads which made it extremely clear that it was a bad idea none the less.

"You never let me do anything fun," I say with disappointment. We gathered more supplies as well as bags to put our findings in, then decided to head out

"Let's just go before I hurt Bellamy," I say and Jasper salutes.

"Aye aye captain," he says and I laugh.

"You're a doof," Monty says to which Jasper replied with "I know I am." With that we all grabbed our things before headed off into the woods.........
