Cordelia's p.o.v

The two of us set off on our trek through the lush forest. Some things looked familiar but other parts didn't. Finn really liked to explore outside of camp even if there are dangerous grounders around.

We were going to the place where Finn found the colored pencil. I kept a look out for grounders in case they were lurking around, they really know this land so we had to watch our backs in case of any surprise attacks.

"How much farther?" I asked as we were a ways from camp.

"It's just up ahead," Finn says giving me a smile as he continued walking, then he stopped and bent down and opened a hatch in the ground.

"Down you go," he says lifting the hatch so it was fully open.

I glanced at him before making my way down the ladder that was there. After a few steps down, my feet touched the rough concrete that had a centuries worth of dust on it. It was dark in the room, as dark as the eternal night back on the Ark.

As I began looking around a light came on "This place still has power?" I say looking around amazed at everything.

This place was cool, it was definitely built to hold a family but it looks like they never got there. The bombs must have got to them before they could reach it.

It's crazy how a nuclear war caused all this destruction so many years ago. What were humans fighting about that made nukes the end result? They had to know that it would've wiped out most of the planet.

"I stumbled upon this place on one of my walks," Finn says as he stood beside me.

"You know it's not safe to walk around on your own space-walker," I state giving him a stern look.

"I know but I don't like being locked up in the damn camp all day," he says before showing me some of the things he found. This place was so cool, there was blank canvases that I wanted to paint on and some pencils that weren't broken.

There were other things like a sofa and some blankets. Candles were scattered about in case the power was of no use anymore. There was also expired cans of food which didn't really help our situation but just seeing this place was nice.

Although it's sad to think that these people had hope of being saved when they really didn't stand a chance at all. It makes you wonder if one day the human race actually goes extinct lime the dinosaurs before us.

"I can't believe this was built all those years ago and no one's found it until now," I say as my eyes gazed over the whole secret room.

"Yeah, it was really hidden though. It was lucky to just have stumbled upon it. I thought it was cool and I knew you'd like the pencil crayon," he says, eyes gazing about the room.

After looking around for a few more minutes, we thought it'd be best to head back to the camp. So Finn shut the lights off and we climbed back up the ladder and began walking back to the camp. "Delia, do you see that fog?" Finn asks as I stop and looked where he was pointing.

"Yes Finn, I do see that fog and it doesn't look like ordinary fog," I say with a worried look.

This fog was green, acid green and is probably highly toxic, but also it was headed right for us. This must be the acid fog Finn was talking about earlier. Finn and I shared a look, while a horn could be heard in the distance. That's when we both started running.

Who the hell makes an acidic fog that can kill you in a matter of seconds? Earth is definitely turning out to be way more dangerous then we first thought......
