Ivoreth

Ivoreth was a very minor idea that I had. She's a Dúnedain under Aragorn's command, who specifically breaks his orders to remain at the borders of Rivendell and follows him across Middle-earth to aid in the destruction of the Ring. Eventually, she would've been paired with Haldir (who never dies, wtf PJ?!) but, unfortunately, she never truly developed beyond that.

Erulissë

So this is a plot bunny that was a rewrite of an unfinished fic that's already posted on my main fanfic page. In the rewrite, Erulissë is one of the guards of Rivendell, along with her elder brother and twin brother and the Lord Elrond's twins. During an attack to protect their borders, her twin is killed and she disobeys a direct order from Elrond and pursues the orcs responsible. As a result, for her bloodthirsty vengeance, Elrond dismisses her from the guard and banishes her from the elven cities until such time that he deems her worthy to return. Virtually homeless and shunned by what remains of her family, Erulissë wanders Middle-earth alone. Eventually, she finds herself in Lake-town where she is arrested and imprisoned by the Master. In the cell next to her is a young man, Bard, who she builds a strange friendship that eventually becomes a romance. The unconventional pair marry and have three half-elven children, Erulissë packing away her bow and short shorts in favor of a peaceful life.

Nearly twenty years later, that peaceful life is disrupted with the arrival of a company of dwarves coming up through her toilet. Her husband assures her that it is only temporary and that he has brokered a deal with them: shelter in exchange for gold once they retake the mountain. She thinks it's foolish and keeps herself and her children as far from the dwarves as possible. The mistrust and deep hatred between dwarves and elves is still alive and well in both races. After the dragon is killed and word of war reaches them, Erulissë realizes that she must once again pickup her weapons and fight to protect not only her family but the people of Dale.

Sixty years later, Bard is dead and Erulissë is Queen Regent of Dale, guiding her son in his rule as he prepares his own son, Brand, for his rule. When a dark rider approaches to negotiate Dale joining the Dark Lord of Mordor, Bain sends his mother on his behalf to meet with the other great lords at a secret council in Rivendell. After so many years of working alongside each other, Erulissë has forged a friendship with Gloin and his son, Gimli. After briefly being imprisoned for trespassing, Elrond speaks to her and decides to lift her banishment at least temporarily. Against her better judgment, Erulissë joins the Fellowship ands things proceed fairly normally from there -- barring a tumultuous friendship and rivalry with Legolas, who she still hasn't forgiven for destroying her home and nearly getting her children killed sixty years ago. By the end of the war, her son has died in battle defending Dale and Erebor's borders and her grandson has ascended to the throne. Erulissë eventually joins Legolas and Gimli on their adventures and sees them off as they sail West. Instead of sailing with them, she returns to Dale and succumbs to the death she'd been holding off since Bard died and is buried beside him.
