Being the orphaned niece of the community priest garners attention. Turns out, most of it is not the kind of attention her uncle wants for her. The Blinders, despite the good they do for their own, are not the people he wants his impressionable, God fearing niece associating with. All of them are dangerous with reputations, the men and the women, and Eleanor doesn't need a blemish on her good name by associating with the Shelby and Gray clan. Especially not that new one, Michael. But the times are changing; liquor is flowing, music is wilder, skirts are getting shorter, and women have minds of their own. The sooner he can ship her off to a nunnery or find a proper husband in the country for her, the better off she'll be.
