Sophie POV

I hated the world and it hated me back apparently. My stupid dog Iggy had chewed up my math homework and I knew that excuse was the most lamest excuse of all excuses. I mean seriously it used to work but now who believes the excuse 'my dog chewed up my homework' anymore.

My life sucks. I am all alone and I hated being this way. It feels weird not talking to my friends who are all the way back in stinky New York. In my life there are so many questions and answers that somehow seem wrong.

My life sucks and the world hates me. Great. It was early morning and I was walking to the bus station. I pulled out my phone, my eyes scanning hopefully for texts from my New York friends. My thumb trembled as it pressed onto my friend Savvy's number. Without hesistantation, I wrote 'hey' and sent it. I gasped as a red contact came. Number Blocked. My eyelids saggy and I stopped walking, sadly. I suddenly felt like crying.

The world hates me

My life sucks

Everyone hates me even Savvy

What had I done to deserve this? A loud screeching sound alerted me to the presence like a notification alerting me to my phone. I looked up. "No no!" I raced to the bus as it pulled away. "No, don't leave!" It pulled into the street anyways despite my pleas. "Fudge." I whispered, dried tears staining my cheeks and I closed my eyes flinching. School was starting soon and I needed to be there so I started sprinting across and through the streets with my tears streaming down. Even though I knew I wasn't going to make it on time I tried my best to do so.

The bell tower's clock struck 9 and I groaned, suffering from a bullet wound to my brain. I wanted to pull out my hair right now and scream into a pillow. Maybe no one would notice if I just vanish?

I wandered the empty hallway, depressed searching for Mr. Sweeney's math class like a zombie when...bang! I ran into someone. Could my life be any worse?

"Oh my god! I am so sorry!" I looked up, my eyes freezing. It was him. The super cute boy with ice blue eyes. In an instance all my doubt vanished. "Are you alright, Sophie?"

"Yes...yes." I froze. "Wait how do you know my name? Who are you?" He laughed.

"I am Fitz's friend... Keefe." He paused as if awaiting my reaction. "Keefe Sencen?" I nodded.

"You're some rich playboy." My eyes widened. What in the heck did I just say? Keefe chuckled to himself, helping me up.

"Hopefully not... wait you're also in Professor Rosing's Drama class right?" I nodded, shyly. "That's bloody dope! So I'll see you in class later today, right?" I nodded again. "Are you excited for the musical... I forgot it's name already shucks. Apparently it's super famous but I don't know. I am only doing this class as a dare." My mind spun in circles as he talked super fast to me. "Well I gotta go before I get killed by Professor Forkle. See you around Sophie." Then he was gone, leaving me like a statue.
