SAM WAS SITTING ON A BENCH OUTSIDE OF THE WHITMORE COLLEGE DORM ROOMS. He was looking around with a satisfied smirk. Last night after he comforted Caroline she was nice enough to let him stay. They didn't sleep together in one bed as he would have preferred but at least he was in the same room as her. Though her sudden sobs annoyed the hell out of him.
Of course, she was hurt and he knew that. But Sam thought that spilling tears for an excuse of a guy like Tyler Lockwood was unnecessary and tiring. Caroline had everything in front of her now - a future and she was able to do whatever the hell she wanted.
Sam just wanted her to see it. He wanted her to see him too. At least more than she did.
Apparently, another girl saw Sam too. She was beautiful with long red hair and eyes that could lure in. She looked like Sirens and she had her eyes on Sam.
She noticed him quite a while ago. He was talking with Elena Gilbert and that upset the girl but now he was alone. He was also smiling so she thought he was in a good mood.
Taking all of her courage in, the redhead decided to approach him. Just as simply as that.
Sam had his eyes closed when a sudden shadow clouded the light so he opened his eyes and met his brown eyes with her green ones. She wasn't Caroline and Sam wasn't interested. "Hi," the redhead spoke so he sat up and smiled at her. "I...I noticed you're new here. Are you studying or just meeting someone?"
He had no interest in her whatsoever. But he loved to play games. "I'm not studying, that's for sure," he gave her a charming grin, melting the girl as she decided to take a seat next to him. Sam raised his eyebrow at her but when she looked back at him he smiled once again.
"Oh, and I thought Whitmore has a hot new student here," she flirted nervously and then put a piece of her red hair behind her ear. Sam stared at her curiously. She was beautiful he wasn't a fool, but he never saw women more than objects. Not until one girl and then Caroline. "I'm Stacy, by the way."
"You have a name that doesn't suit you," he said with a smile so she chuckled and nodded her head.
"What name would you give me, stranger?" her voice suddenly changed its tone as Sam's smirk grew bigger. Stacy giggled as she leaned forward but Sam pulled away. She then realized what she was doing and cleared her throat, her cheeks burning. "I'm sorry, I'm not good at... this. I usually get rejected earlier."
Sam chuckled at her. "Well, I gotta give it to you. You're the first girl who went so far so early on."
Stacy blushed and smiled at him. "Is that bad?"
