2002:
A DARK SHADOW CROSSED THE STREETS OF A TOWN NEAR NEW YORK. A woman was running away with tears in her eyes as she held onto her bleeding neck. The dark shadow was right behind her as blood poured down his lips. Her blood.
Suddenly, the woman bumped into someone and fell down. The vampire stopped upon seeing a young and yet a tall boy stand in front of the fallen woman. "Whoah," was all a thirteen-year-old Sam Rhee could say as his fascinated eyes scanned the confused vampire in front of him.
"Please, help me," the bleeding woman grabbed onto Sam's fair jacket making it bloody as Sam rose his eyes at the vampire who observed the boy. Usually people got scared of vampires but that boy looked excited.
"I knew vampires exist! I was so sure and I was right!" Sam exclaimed, completely ignoring the sobbing woman.
"Who are you, kid?" the male vampire questioned dully as Sam extended his arm for the vampire to shake. The vampire did and Sam smirked to himself. "What are you doing here so late? You're underage."
"I have a mentality of a fully grown adult. Who am I kidding? I'm much smarter," Sam boasted as he looked down at the woman. "You're not gonna finish her off?"
The vampire got a little frightened by a kid like Sam. "How old are you?"
"Thirteen, sir," Sam put his hands behind his back and smiled at the vampire. "Do not worry. Gore doesn't frighten me."
The vampire then grabbed the woman to stand up as he eyed Sam weirdly as Sam looked proud of himself. "May I ask?" Sam then mused as the vampire nodded his head. "Could I possibly travel with you? Do not worry, Gabriel, I can take care of myself."
"How do you know my name?" Gabriel then snapped angrily causing Sam to close his eyes. He then opened them and smiled. "How do you know who I am? Talk or I will snap her neck."
"Please, no!"
"Please, yes," Sam smiled causing the woman to stare at a young boy in horror. "I have never seen a vampire kill before. That would be very interesting to watch."
"The hell are you?" the vampire was now confused as he looked around. The woman continued to cry hysterically as Sam rolled his brown eyes.
"I am Sam Rhee."
Gabriel had enough as he let go of the woman and grabbed Sam by the shoulders. "How do you know who I am?" Gabriel compelled but Sam only chuckled.
