KATHERINE HAD A FEELING CAROLINE WOULD ARGUE WITH SAM WHEN HE DECIDED TO GO WITH KATHERINE. The Pierce girl knew what Caroline actually felt. She didn't care about her nor Sam but to see Caroline hide her feelings and yet show them at the same time felt irritating. More so, that Sam knew about those feelings and played her.

When Katherine and Sam left Caroline with Wes the two evil masterminds had a lot to talk about. They kept bickering as the Whitmore house appeared closer towards them. "Are you trying to break Caroline's heart?" Katherine questioned. She touched the hem of her skirt as she glanced at Sam who wore a suit. Katherine loved staring at his face in the light. It looked as if the sun shined only for him.

Sam smirked and looked at her dully. "I did want to go with you because I was bored but that doesn't mean we're best buddies now, Kitty-Kat," Sam stopped near the stairs leading to the door of the house. Katherine glared at Sam when he handed her his hand. "Do you need help climbing up the stairs or-"

Katherine then brushed past his hand and started to climb up. He mused and followed right after her. "Pretend Elena, here I come," Katherine whispered to herself and then approached the front door. Sam stood behind her as she fiddled with her hair.

Sam rolled his eyes expressively and knocked on the door as a woman named Dianne Freeman opened the door. "Ms. Gilbert?" she asked with a sly smile as she glanced at Sam who smiled at her charmingly.

"You know me?" Katherine asked as Sam looked at the human with hidden irritation as Dianne stared at her. Sam knew she thought Elena was a vampire but lucky to them it was Katherine with them.

"I'm Dianne Freeman. We met the night your roommate died."

"Of course," Katherine smiled in fake politeness as Dianne glanced at Sam. He knew she didn't trust them. "Crazy night. Anyway, I am here for the shindig. With my boyfriend."

Suddenly, Katherine grabbed Sam's arm and wrapped her arm around his causing Sam to look down at her with a teasing smirk. He then nodded at Dianne. "I didn't realize you'd be joining us. Especially with... a date."

"Did my lovely girlfriend forgot to RSVP?" Sam asked with a fake gasp as he touched Katherine's cheek. She seemed a little flustered as Sam then chuckled. "Sorry, she must have been busy with studies and well... me."

Katherine forged a smile and glanced back at the suspicious woman. "We just started the tea," Dianne then ushered them to walk in and looked confused when both of them crossed the threshold without any invitation.

"Got any food?" Katherine then asked curiously and dragged Sam towards a table which was filled with food.

Letting go of Sam's arm Katherine indulged into the food as she stuffed food into her mouth and a bag. "You must have been baffled to call me your boyfriend, you idiot," Sam then spoke from the side as she turned to him while chewing a biscuit.
