Coffee break

The next morning you helped Sooyun with some paperwork that had to be done as soon as possible, then you went to your boss to give him some important documents.

When you walked in your boss' office you remembered Ten's words.

"Uhm....boss", you tried to form a sentence.

He looked up at you, and you continued: "I-uh, I noticed that the member Ten has so much talent and potential, and in my opinion, he needs to be more promoted which would lead us to another success".

Your boss slowly nodded,"Yeah but what about Taeyong? Does he need more promotion or is it enough? I've come up with an idea: he could have his own Vlives every evening, and some dance tutorials too!".

"I think Taeyong needs some rest. You have to focus on Ten, you won't regret it", you tried your best.

"I'll see what I can do, now you can go and have lunch, eat well!",your boss said while signing some papers, you thanked him and went to the canteen.

There, you ate with Sooyun and other members. After lunch you went with Johnny and Jaehuyn to the radio studio for Nct night night. You sat there while they got their job done, you were taking notes all the time, writing down some opinions and ideas too.

Soon, they finished and went to the town, you ended up wandering around in a huge shopping centre.
Johnny was exploring all the stores in search of some new shirts and accessories.

You went with Jaehuyn to a Caffe.
It was a pretty cozy space.
You two ordered coffe and he payed.

"Y/N...", you heard his soft voice saying your name.

"Yeah?"

"I....think there's something you want to tell me. You're acting different, is everything okay?", he asked you in a serious tone.

You were confused, "What do
you mean?"

"There's something going on between you and Taeyong, right?", Jaehyun glanced at you and you looked away.

"Pfffft, what hahahah....w-why would you think that?", you stuttered, slowly starting to panic.

"Do you think I'm really that stupid? Don't lie to me".

"B-but I'm a manager I uh-.... How could I love him?"

"Y/N, it's okay....fine...but stay away from him, please", he looked deeply into your eyes.

"Why?"

"He won't ever be nice to you, he hates all of our managers, with a passion. He says it's because he can't have freedom, he can't express himself enough, he suffers a lot because the fans can't see our true happiness, managers are with us each day, all day. We barely have any privacy. I don't know how are they still not sharing dorms with us".

"How do you know that? Maybe he'll be nicer to me soon", you tried to convince him otherwise.

"It's just that....I don't want him to hurt you", Jaehyun whispered as his hand gently held yours.

You didn't say anything, maybe he was right?
Jaehyun has always been so nice and sweet to you, while Taeyong's acts are so confusing; one second he's being rude and the other he's being a cutie.

But Taeyong doesn't have these cute lil adorable dimples like Jaehuyn, and his golden heart is just another bonus.

You nodded, agreeing with him and he slightly smiled while sipping his coffee.

You chatted more, him being more and more sweet each second.
His eyes were shining brighter than a starry night, his smile was so attractive.
His presence calmed you down.

When Johnny came to you two, he secretly winked to Jaehyun, and Jae played it off like nothing happend, trying not to smirk.

The van dropped you off in front of the SM building and you all went in
chatting and laughing all the way to the elevator. You finally waved at them and wished them a good night, they dissapeared as the elevator doors closed.

You unlocked your dorm's door and walked in. You decided that you'll be relaxing for the rest of the night. Slowly diving into the tub, your mind felt so refreshed. You also called your family and talked to Nancy, but you didn't mention anything related to this situation you were in.

Later you had some tea while sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view of the Han river at night.
It was unbelieveably beautiful.
You were fascinated as the river reflected both the night sky and the city lights.

When you started to feel tired, you slipped into your pajamas and went to bed (missing your pinkish bunny pillow) ready for tomorrow's surprises.
