i don't even wanna fuck i just like you

"sadie! i'm sure you're mom won't mind if we're a few minutes late." y/n exclaimed as she rushed after her red headed friend.

school had ended no less than two minutes ago and sadie was rushing y/n out of the building, claiming her mom wanted her home pronto. the two of them walked to and from school everyday, expect mondays from school and fridays to school, but today was friday and they were headed to sadie's house.

"no, y/n, it's really urgent." sadie replied, drawing out the really.

y/n rolled her eyes and jogged to catch up with sadie's brisk speed walking.

"can you at least slow down a bit, you know athletic stuff isn't my strong suit."

sadie giggled and flicked her hair over her shoulder.

"just c'mon!"

the two girls reached the front doors of the school, and y/n immediately noticed a cluster outside.

usually the "cool" kids would wait inside until one of their parents showed up to chauffeur them to a house, but today everyone was outside. all of the kids that would scatter around the steps and side walk out front were all bunched together by one of the walls that bordered the steps.

"what's going on out there?" y/n wondered aloud.

she glanced over at sadie and saw a grin on her face.

"do you know something i don't?" y/n asked with a laugh, making sadie smile even wider.

sadie grabbed y/n's hands and pulled her to the double doors. they both opened one and walked out together, sadie practically pulling y/n along.

once the pair were outside on the steps, y/n stopped to stand on her tip toes, hoping to see what everyone was gathered around. she'd always been a bit nosey.

y/n's eyes landed on a very familiar mop of faded plum colored curls and she felt like her heart had stopped beating. anticipation whooshed through her chest as she followed the curls to the face they belonged to.

just as she assumed, it was finn.

she knew he was coming to town, but he wasn't supposed to show up until monday! valentine's day was a little under a week away, and finn had been planning on flying to y/n so they could spend valentine's week together. y/n supposed he wanted to surprise her.

"finn!" y/n exclaimed, raising her hand that wasn't holding sadie's to get his attention.

finn peeked up over the crowd and his face lit up when his eyes met y/n's. he started walking towards her, saying excuse me as he pushed his way past people.

y/n immediately wrapped her arms around finn's neck, a giddy smile on her face. sadie had dropped y/n's hand, knowing her and finn would want a moment.

the couple hugged for a second before pulling apart so they could look at each other.

"i wasn't expecting you until monday!" y/n said happily.

finn shrugged, "i thought i'd surprise you."

y/n laughed, "very good surprise. but you know, now people are gonna know we're together. everyone here still thought i was single until a few seconds ago." she joked.

finn shrugged, "it would get out sometime this week. i wanted to take you on an actual, public date anyways."

that comment made y/n blush and duck her head, which made finn laugh.

"babe, you're so cute when you blush." finn cooed jokingly, making y/n blush more.

"wait, sadie did you know about this?" y/n questioned, whipping her head towards sadie.

y/n moved her arms from around finns neck and rested them at her sides. finn draped an arm over y/n's shoulders casually.

sadie smirked, "maybe i did." she said, obviously implying she knew.

"so that's why you were in such a big rush."

sadie nodded, "i knew the bitches here would swarm him, it was a rescue effort." she said, making both finn and y/n laugh.

"let's head home now." y/n said was a smile.

"i can go to my house so you two can catch up." sadie offered, making y/n smile thankfully.

"we should all get dinner together though." finn suggested as they began walking.

while they turned the corner to walk down the street bordering y/n's school, she caught quite a few confused and jealous faces, which made her laugh slightly.

"sounds good with me." sadie replied. "as long as you're paying mr. childstar." she added.
