As I finished getting the rest of the stuff off the grill I started taking the stuff in the house when there was a knock at the door. I walked over to the door looked out the peephole and saw both Ali and Niecy standing there with presents in their hands. A smile came over my face as I saw Niecy standing there, I didn't think that she would come but she did. I asked her about a week ago and she told me that she wouldn't be able to make it so I just said forget and went on with my day. Anyways I opened the door and greeted the both of them with a smile.

"Well. Well, look what the cat has drug in." I say smiling.

"Hey, bestie," Ali says smiling back.

"What it do?" I smiled back at her as looked over and Shanice who wasn't even looking at me.

"Nothing where my lil youngin at?" Ali smiled as she walked inside.

"He in the back with the rest of the kids," I replied back.

She nodded her head okay and walked past me where she headed outside with the rest of the kids.

"So Niecy I see you made it." I smiled back at her.

"Yea." she says nodding her head as she walked inside also.

"I'm happy to see you," I replied as I closed the door behind me.

"Yea I wouldn't have missed my god son's birthday party for nothing in the world." She replied.

"Thanks because he's been asking about you." She smiled handed me the present and said cool.

I nodded my head back and walked back outside where I stuck the present on the table with the other presents. When I finished that I went back in the house and started preparing the food and things for the kids when C walked in with his other kids.

"Hey, Ma." His daughter Nisha smiles as she walks over to me.

"Hey, baby," I say smiling back as she kissed me on the cheek.

"What's up ma?" Lil C says smiling as he did the same thing.

"Nothing baby." I smiled kissing the both of them back.

"Where the birthday boy at?" Nisha asked.

"He outside with his friends," I replied.

She told me okay and walked outside with Jr right behind her. Once they were outside C looked at me smiled then walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me.

"You need help baby?" He whispered in my ear.

"Sure," I say smiling back.

"Alright bet." He says grabbing a few of the paper plates from the shelf.

"I can't believe they came."

"Yea I had to do a lot of convincing for them to be able to come. "I bet you did but anyways let her find out that they were calling me mom she would probably blow steam from her head," I smirked.

"You think or you know." C chuckled.

"I know," I say smiling.

Anyways we finished getting the rest of the plates finished and took them outside and gave them out to the kids. Meanwhile, while the kids were eating I was sitting over at a table eating my own food when Niecy came and sat down next to me.

"Hey, Bestie." Niecy smiled as she sat down.

"Hey." I smiled back.

"So how you been doing?" "

I've been doing good."

"That's good so I see C brought the kids by."

"Yea." I nod.

"He must've had to go through hell and back just to get them to come over." She chuckled.

"Yea." I nod once again.

"I bet." She laughs.

I nodded my head once again and started to take a bite of my rib when she sighed and said, "Look bestie I'm sorry about what happened between us I didn't mean for none of that to come out the way that it did."

"It's fine," I replied.

"No, it's not fine I didn't mean for none of that to come out the way that it did." She sighs.

"It's cook I'm not stressing it," I say shaking my head.

"Are you sure?" She asked with a smile.

"Yea I'm positive," I say nodding my head.

"Okay cool now what's been going on lately?" Niecy asked.

"Nothing too much just chilling you know since I can't really do much C has been keeping me in bed." I smiled.

"That's good." She smiled.

"Yea so how're things been going for you?" I asked back.

"They been good just kind of on the weird side but they been good." She replied.

"What do you mean by kind of on the weird side?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, to be honest, I've been getting phone calls from my ex-Colin again." She sighed.

"You talking about the abusive one?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yea he has been saying that he wants me back and this and that." She sighed.

"Please don't tell me that you're thinking about taking him back?" I asked.

"No never that." She replied. "Good because you have been doing so good." I smiled.

"Yea I have." She nodded.

Anyways we continued to talk and laugh just like old times and I had to admit that I kind of missed that and not only that but I was happy to have my best friend back.
