I was happy to finally be home and away from the hospital because you could never get any sleep I got tired of them running in and out of the room talking about they had to check on me and the baby. Then on top of that, they always wanted to poke me with damn needles. I swear if I was a damn heroin addict I would be on cloud nine somewhere.

Anyways I after I finished feeding faith I stroke her in her crib and went back downstairs where I went down stairs. When I got down there I saw C already in the kitchen cooking. I swear there was never a day where this nikka wasn't in the kitchen cooking. I sighed shook my head and walked over to him wrapped my arms around his waist then laid my head on his back.

"Hey, baby." C says stirring up the food in the pot.

"Hey, baby." I smiled back.

"You alright?"

"Yea I'm good. How come you never let me cook?" I asked.

"Because baby I think that the man should at least cook for his wife sometime." He replied.

"I know but at the same time, I wanna cook sometimes too," I replied.

"Okay baby here you go." I smiled and pushed him to the side.

He was cooking my favorite chicken spaghetti something that I hadn't eaten in a while. My mom used to always cook this growing up, she would add creole spices to it and make it spicy. I use to love eating my mom's food growing up she would always throw down in the kitchen like she was cooking for an army or something. Maybe I could get my mom to cook at my wedding because it would save a lot of money because having a caterer it would cost a lot more money.

"So baby have you thought out any plans for the wedding yet." C asked taking a seat at the island.

"Yea I think I'mma get mama to cook for the wedding it will save some money," I replied.

"You sure she would want to do that?" C asked for assurance.

"She shouldn't have a problem since she likes to cook for an army." I laughed.

"Alright well, baby I got something to tell you." C sighed.

"Don't tell me you got another child on the way," I say turning around with a smirk on my face.

"No, wait what?" He asked confused.

"Don't tell me you got another baby on the way," I replied.

"What the hell no girl I don't have no more damn kids." He says shaking his head.

"Okay, then what?" I laughed.

"I think I'mma quit working on the block and get a regular nine to five." He replied.

"What!" I screamed with Joy.

"I'mma get a regular nine to five baby I'mma stop slanging on the block for my families sake." He smiled back.

I smiled and ran over to him where I jumped in his arms I was so happy that he would be quitting the streets that was something that I had been praying asking the lord to put into his heart. I didn't wanna have to be burying my husband right after we got married, I wanted to be able to wake up every morning laying right next to my husband. I wanted to be able to lay next to him every night and cuddle. Anyways I jumped down out of his arms and went back over to the stove where I finished cooking.

"Baby I will be back I gotta go and run a few errands okay?" C asked walking over to me.

"Okay daddy be safe." I smiled as I turned around and looked him in the eyes.

"Ain't I always safe?" He replied.

"Yea," I say smiling.

"Okay." He says kissing me on the lips.

I shook my head turned back around and started cooking when he smacked me on the ass and walked out the door. I was so happy that my man was going to be calling it quits on the block. He was going to be married with a family now so that meant that he needed to be focused on us and us only. I didn't wanna wake up to guns in my face and worrying about my baby girl or lil prince being shot. I sighed and finished cooking then went upstairs and knocked on Fred's door and told him to come downstairs so we could eat. He told me, okay and we went downstairs and starting eating with me putting C's food up in the microwave.
