VICTORIA's POV:

"See you later, I had a great time." David said, taking off his seat belt. "Me too, do you need help getting out, and going to bed?" I asked him, taking off my seat belt. When I first saw him, I couldn't imagine how serious those 9 months were to God. He made a beautiful and charming man, hard to believe he's single. "No...I got it." he said. He should move his pride out of the way, and let me help. "I'm helping." I said, grabbing his house keys, marching to the door. "Okay, maybe you could help put ointment on my back." he said. I laughed. "I don't know all about that." I teased him. He smiled walking over here with his crutches.

I opened his door. "Good night David, get some rest." I told him as he entered his house. "Goodnight Victoria." he said. I smiled as I closed the door. I walked to my white Chrysler 300. I checked my phone, noticing DeShawn called 12 times. I rolled my eyes. I called him back. "Hello." a husky and sleepy voice answered. "Hey, you called me, what did yo-" I called you 12 f***ing times!" he yelled as I leaned away from the phone. "Whoa, you don't need to curse, what did you want?" I asked, irritated. He sighed. "Where's Emily?" he asked softly. I sighed. "She's with my mom." I said. "Oh really...you couldn't drop her over here with her daddy, wow what kind of mother are you?" he mocked me.

I rolled my eyes. "Why are you so all of a sudden concerned with your daughter anyway...you weren't concerned for 4 years, why the change now?" I barked at him. I drove up to Harvey's Market. "Because, I realize what I lost...I really want us to be a family again, I've really changed." he said. "Oh, really?" I said sarcastically, walking in the store. I wasn't about to be made a joke again. I remember giving him chance after chance for sleeping around...I got tired of it, and I refuse to go back to it, his looks can't save him now. I didn't say anything. He sighed. "I- I still am in love with you, I'm sorry, I want us to be a family." he said seriously.

It scared me...could he be telling the truth, or could I be the dummy again, but even if it were true I couldn't go back to him. "I'm not going to be your fool again...I'm over that." I said. "Look, those are my old ways...I'm a changed man...I've really been thinking about you and...Emily." he said. I rolled my eyes. "We can't be together, it won't end well, plus we're too different." I told him, as I piled up the buggy full of water bottles, chips, fruits, cereal, and milk.  He laughed. "Too different...that's that Bible talking huh?" he laughed. "Look laugh all you want, I have to go." I said seriously, hanging up.

Sometimes he got on my last nerve. "That'll be 20.12." the cashier said as I got out my wallet. Man, David was so famously attractive in that suit I picked out for him, I know he's older than me...probably 3 or 4 years older, but I don't care...he's really sweet. I hope we can be better friends. DeShawn on the other hand is an aggravating, deadbeat, poor excuse of a boyfriend or father. I don't know why he expected me to crawl back to him, he ain't that fine. As I started my car, I got a text message from DeShawn. 'Meet me at the park at 10:30 p.m.' I rolled my eyes as I guessed what he probably had planned.
