Victoria POV:
I stretched as I sat up. Another day, another blessing. I said my morning prayer to the one who gave me breath. As I said amen. I heard a voice say from deep within me "My daughter, pray for David." As I heard it, I knelled down before my bed once again and prayed again. I prayed for him hard. I got up wiping my eyes. "Thank you Lord." I said. I heard my door creak open as I looked up to see Emily, she was still in her pj's. I smiled at her as I stood up. "What's wrong sweetie?" I asked her sweetly. She shook her head. "Ms. Keisha on the phone." she said with her tiny voice. I smiled and pecked her cheek as I grabbed the phone. She smiled and climbed on my bed.
"What's up sweets?" I asked her. "Girl, you said you were going to tell me something important." she said seriously. My heart dropped in my stomach. "Really...oh yeah, I'll tell you when you come over." I told her nervously. "Well then I'm coming over right now." she said seriously. "You don-" "No, trust me I do, I have something to tell you too." she said. I sighed. "What?" I asked her. "I'll tell you when I come over, I'm driving over right now, bye." she said and hung up. I panicked a little bit until I saw Emily look at me strangely. I stood up. I snatched off my nightgown and jumped in the shower. Emily walked in the bathroom with her doll and sat on the floor. Mommy's girl. After I got Emily dressed I combed my hair and straightened the house up. I didn't want Keisha thinking that the problem I was having kept me from cleaning up my house.
I heard a knock on my door as I sat down. I stood up and opened the door. "Hey." I said. I hugged her as she sat down. "Hey." she said briefly. She took off her glasses. "Girl, seriously...hold on...hey Emily." she said excitedly and hugged her while kissing her a hundred times. "Hey." Emily laughed. We looked at each other, both wondering how we were going to talk in front of her without her catching on. "Um...well last night DeShawn called me and he told me something very shocking, and if it's true I'm going to be very hurt." she said solemnly. I sighed. What could DeShawn have told her? Did he know? How?! I sighed again as I calmed down internally. "What was it?" I asked her. She looked at me as if she was hurt and was very disappointed in me. "He told me that...you were...expecting." she said, forcing the words out her mouth.
I bit my lip as I didn't dare meet her gaze. She continued. "He said you were...p.r.e.g.n.a.n.t...is it true Vicky?" she asked. I didn't say anything. I looked at the ground then at her. I nodded. She exhaled heavily. "And...is that idiot...the f.a.t.h.e.r?" she asked me, dropping her purse to the floor. "It...depends on which idiot you're talking about." I said. She shook her head disapprovingly. "DeShawn?" she asked. I shook my head. "No." I said. Her eyes widened. She smiled at me and hugged me while screaming. "Eep! Vicky, aww, does he know- "No, and don't tell him." I said. She sat back down. "Okay, so when are you going to tell him?" she asked. "I- I don't know...probably when he gets back from meeting his family." I guessed.
She smiled. I sighed. "What if he leave- "No! he isn't like DeShawn sweetie, this is a real man, and he loves you Vicky, don't doubt it, he'll just love you more." she said. I smiled halfheartedly. "Now, who all knows?" she asked. "You, DeShawn, I didn't even tell him, I guess the doctor couldn't keep his big mouth shut, and David's mother." I said. She shook her head at me. "Really? what about your mother...if she knew that you told his mother before her she wouldn't forgive you." she said. I know my mother wouldn't forgive me if she knew that I told someone I only knew for a few days, instead of her. "Yeah, I might tell her after I tell David." I said. She shook her head.
"No, tell her now, if she knew how long you waited you know she'll be mad at you Vicky." she said. "Yeah, she's going to freak." I said. I know my mother and she always wanted me to have another baby, well she'll be even more excited when I tell her its' twins. I didn't even tell Keisha that yet. "Well, I have something else to tell you." I said. She nodded. "Okay." "Well, it's not a b.a.b.y...it's b.a.b.i.e.s, other words...t.w.i.n.s." I spelled for her. Her mouth dropped open. "Oh my gosh, congrats girl..Eep!" she yelled, jumping up and down. I laughed. She was more happier than I was when I found out. "Yep." "Your mother is going to flip." she said. I laughed. "Yep, literally." I said. She hugged me. I turnt to Emily who was probably dying to find out what we were talking about. "How...would you like to be a big sister?" I asked her.
