it's been a week since Drew met Zach and they actually seem to be getting along!! i'm so happy. Drew has helped me get through the toughest times in my life, and he's honestly a really good big brother. Unfortunately he's 18 and going to be moving out soon :( but i'm super excited for his graduation party in a few days!! Traci & Kerry are coming home from their cruise tomorrow so Zach and i have been enjoying the time alone in the house since Breckin has been avoiding me, Molly is always out with her friends and or her boyfriend, and Drew usually has work during the day. Zach and i have gotten so close in this past week, and i really feel myself falling hard for him. "hey beautiful." Zach comes over to where i'm sitting on the couch and gives me a kiss on the cheek, i turn to face him and smile. "well hello there, handsome." he smiles as well. honestly i think this is the happiest i've been for a long long time. there's just something about him that makes me feel like my life is complete. i lean over to give him a quick kiss. "are you ready for our date?" Zach has planned a secret date tonight and i'm super excited. "yeah, just let me run upstairs to grab my phone." once i get to my room a take one more quick glance in the mirror, grab my phone and start to head downstairs. i really like the dress i'm wearing, kamri came over a few hours ago and helped me pick it out.

as soon as i get downstairs Zach grabs my hand and we walk out together towards his car. i suddenly get a text and i'm shocked to see who it is.
breck💛🐛 -can we talk? ash💘🐢 -um, i'm about to go out for a date with Zach. Is later tonight okay? breck💛🐛 -oh, sorry never mind. we can just talk tomorrow or something. have fun. ash💘🐢 -sounds good
i glance up to see Zach looking at me. "everything okay?" "um, yeah, Breckin just texted me for the first time since our fight." i look down at my shoes. he grabs my hand. "what did she say?" "she just asked if i had time to talk and i told her i was going on a date with you." "oh, well we can cancel if you want to talk to her now." i can really see in his eyes that he genuinely cares about me. "no, no, it's fine i just told her we'd talk tomorrow." he nods and starts the car. it's been weird not seeing her around. she's been staying at another one of our good friends, Clara's, house. i let out a long sigh causing Zach to look over towards me. "are you sure you're doing okay, babe?" woah, that's the first time he's ever called me babe! i smile. "yeah, i just miss my bestfriend, that's all." he puts his hand on my thigh which makes me get goosebumps. "normally i would be telling her how excited i am for this date and how good you look but, i can't since she hates me now." Zach suddenly pulls the car over on the side of the road. "what are you doing?" "Ashley Renee Doyle, i promise you she does not hate you. you guys will get over this eventually, i know you will, and if she's really your bestfriend she'll learn to be happy for you. just give it time, trust me. things will get better between you two and that's a promise." i start to feel a tear run down my cheek. "oh ash, don't cry." he wipes the single tear off of my face and motions for me to get out out of the car. i look around to see that we are by the beach. he grabs my hand and leads me down towards a hidden cave. i've never been down here before. after entering the cave i'm shocked to see a small pool of turtles. a smile instantly grows upon my face as i look down at all the turtles. i have always loved turtles, and marine life for that matter. i look over towards Zach and give him a big hug. "you're so sweet!" i exclaim. he lets out a small giggle. "Shh, you're going to scare the turtles." "oh, sorry i just got excited." we both laugh and look at the turtles for a little longer before heading back towards his car. after this he took me out for dinner at a cute little sea food joint just off the edge of town. i loveeee sea food so much. after dinner we went back to my house. as we were walking towards my room i notice that breckin's door is open. i look inside to see her sitting on her bed with her earbuds in. i turn to face Zach. "um i'm going to go talk to her for a minute, i'll meet you in my room?" he gives me a quick hug and a kiss on the forehead then walks off to my room. i walk into Breckin's room and she notices me so she takes out her earbuds. "hey..." ——————————————————————————— my art teacher decided to quit mid semester to open up a bakery and i'm lowkey failing now 😎🤠
