Zach's pov:
after we finish eating we all grab blankets and pillows and put them in the blow up pool. we all decided on watching spider-man homecoming, this was one of ashley's favorite movies and she really wanted to watch it so we all agreed. we were all climbing on the blow up when corbyn slipped and fell into the water. Ashley started laughing, her laugh is so beautiful it gives me butterflies.
"shut up, ashley." corbyn shouted as he floated in the pool.
"come on you goofball." she reached her hand out to help him out of the water when she got pulled into the pool.
"hey, what was that for?" she splashed him with water.
"that was for laughing at me!"
Ashley's pov:
i started laughing so hard when corbyn fell into the pool i almost peed my pants.
"shut up ashley." corbyn shouted at me while he floated in the pool.
"come one you goofball." i extended my hand to help him out when i felt him pull me into the crisp cool water. when i came back up from the water i was laughing again.
"hey, what was that for?" i splashed him with water.
"that was for laughing at me!" he splashed me back.
"hey don't splash my girlfriend!" i look up and see Zach taking his shirt off.
damn, what a view
he then jumped in right on corbyn and they started splashing the frig out of each other. next thing i know jack jumps in and pulls me underwater. once i get to the surface we both start laughing. Daniel and Jonah join in soon after and we are all splashing each other and laughing. After a few minutes everyone gets out to get changed for bed expect for Zach and I.
"hey beautiful." i blush.
"hey Herron." he wraps his arms around me and looks into my eyes causing me to get butterflies.
"how are you feeling?"
"much better, you guys are the only reason i'm not having a mental breakdown right now." i let out a little laugh and rest my head on his chest.
"i'm glad we can help." with that he leans in and connects our lips.
"ewww!!" i see Daniel shouting from his bedroom window. i let out a giggle and grab Zach's hand.
"come on, let's get changed."
after everyone is changed we lay on the blow up pool and start watching the movie. i'm quick to fall asleep for i was so tired from the emotional day. i was sleeping peacefully when i wake up to notice everyone left but Zach. he was snuggled close to me and i felt instant relief. i really felt safe in his arms, as cheesy as it may sound. he is my happiness on the darkest days and i couldn't be more grateful. i gently kiss his cheek careful not to wake him.
"i love you, Herron." i whisper because i don't want to disturb him. i noticed a smile spread across his lips.
"i love you too." i smile back and snuggle close to him and fall asleep feeling genuinely happy again.
