"ashley, you had a bad dream are you okay?" i nod and take a deep breath.
"yea, i'm okay."
"you sure? i haven't seen you sleep so stressed since well.. since you first came to live with me." breckin pats my shoulder.
"yea, i'm okay. just a bad dream." i force a smile and she nods. she goes back to sleep within minutes. Zach puts his hand on my thigh. i rest my head on his shoulder.
"do you want to talk about it?" i can tell he's referring to my dream. i shake my head.
"i don't feel like it right now, it's still pretty fresh."
"i understand." he kisses my head and we both drift back to sleep. i wake up to Zach shaking me.
"wake up, ash. we're about to land." i slowly rub my eyes. i look out the window and see the most beautiful ocean water, that is clear as day. i smile from ear to ear. "you excited?"
"yea!" after we finally land and get out of the airport it was breathtaking. i inhaled the salty air and felt the warmth of the bright sun hitting my skin. Zach intertwines his fingers with mine and we walk hand in hand. we all decided that since our resort wasn't too far from the the airport we would just walk and enjoy the great weather and amazing view. "how ya feeling?" Zach asks as he shields the sun from his eyes so he could look down at me. i smile.
"really, really great. life couldn't be better right now, and that's all thanks to you." he squeezes my hand gently.
"i'm glad, baby. you deserve to be happy." we both smile. i notice Breckin and Daniel holding hands. she's been so happy with him it's actually adorable. once we arrive at the resort we were staying at we all pick our rooms. i'm stuck in a room with Zach. i throw my bags on the floor and flop down on the bed. Zach picks me up and i hop on his back. he walks me over to the slide door we have that opens up to the beach. it was gorgeous.
"wow." i'm shocked.
"i know, it's beautiful. but not as beautiful as you, of course." i blush and cover my face with my hands. "don't cover your face. you're beautiful." i smile and connect our lips.
"you're the sweetest."
"come on, let's get changed we're heading to the beach"
"that sounds perfect right now, i need to get a hella good tan."
"i'm with you on that one, i'm pale." i giggle.
"me too." i walk over to my suitcase and grab a really cute yellow bikini with cheeky bottoms. i get changed in the bathroom. when i walk out Zach's eyes go wide. "what? does it look bad?"
"look bad? hell no! you look amazing!" i giggle.
"you're so extra." i shove him playfully and grab my towel then i walk out of the slide doors in our room and straight onto the warm squishy sand. i burry my toes in it and take in the sensation. Zach and i were walking hand in hand down towards the shore and someone jumps on me causing me to topple over and fall into the sand. i look over and see Jack laughing and laying beside me.
"isn't it so nice here?" he was full of energy and joy. i love seeing him like this. i smile.
"yes, it's so nice!" he picks up some sand and throws it at me.
"hey!" i run after him and grab a big bucket from Jonah's random bag of sand castle building stuff. i scoop up as much sand as possible.
"need some help?" Zach asks. i nod and he runs after Jack once he finally catches him i run over and dump the huge bucket of sand on his head devouring his wonderful curls.
"ashley!! no, not my hair!"
"sorry, bud!"
he picks me up and runs into the water. he throws me in i start laughing so hard i'm practically wheezing. everyone else joins us in the water and we all start splashing each other. we probably look like a couple of annoying teenagers who are having too much fun without their parents. honestly though, this isn't entirely false.
"let's play chicken!!" breckin yells while climbing on Daniels shoulders.
"you're so going down!" zach dips underwater so i can hop on his shoulders once both breckin and i are stable on the two guys shoulders we start trying to knock each other over. first round i slip right off of Zach and get water in my nose on the way down.
"come on ashley! we can't lose!" i giggle and try to get the water out of my nose.
"i know Herron!!" i hop back on his shoulders and for round two i knock Breckin down.
"ahh, what the heck!" she yells as she hits the water. Zach whispers in my ear, "final round, let's get it." i kiss his cheek.
"i don't lose babe. we got this." as soon as both Breckin and i are ready we start to 'fight' i start to fall back but Zach pushes me up before i slip off of him. i push Breckin and she tumbles off.
"YESSSS!!"
"ayeee, good job babe." i fall into the water and Zach kisses me.
"get a room!!" corbyn shouts and splashes us.
"shut it, bean." i splash him back and it turns into a very heated splashing war. after swimming and tanning for a few hours we all head back to our rooms to get changed for dinner. i'm not sure where we're eating Corbyn said he knows a good spot. not sure why we are all trusting Bean but it's whatever. i change into some distressed jean shorts and a pastel purple crop top. i throw my hair into a messy bun. Zach and i were laying in bed when there is a knock on the door. i open it to reveal corbyn, jonah, and jack.
"let's go to dinner!!" corbyn shouts excitedly.
