I couldn’t believe my eyes as I saw her beginning to close the distance. It was as if she were completely nonchalant as she did so, looking as if she wasn’t nervous by our sudden proximity. I gulped nervously once more before our lips finally met. Shocks immediately shot through me, as if the very touch of her lips energized me and brought me strength. I was confused with the emotion, but I craved it and began to move my lips in sync with hers as my mind whirled in all different directions.
I couldn’t believe that after we finally arrive at our destination, we would never see each other again. I never wanted this feeling to end, but I knew it had to at some point. She must have thought the same though, because a second later she pulled away. We were both breathing heavily as our eyes met. She smiled softly at me as I did the same towards her. I couldn’t really imagine leaving her now; not after finally taking notice of my feelings towards her. She seemed to be more collected now, so she spoke.
“Wow that was… what made you want to… kiss me?” She whispered, as if it were our little secret. I smiled at that thought, liking the thought of having another little secret that only she and I knew. I thought about her question for a moment, unsure as to how to answer her the way I truly wanted to. I could just randomly come out and tell her my feelings; especially now since in just a couple more hours… we would be departing each other.
“I… it seemed like the right thing to do. A secret that could be kept between the two of us. This was… my first kiss.” I blushed when I admitted this to her and I was rewarded by seeing a grin light up her beautiful face.
“Really? Are you lying? Because it just seems as if you would definitely have some women lining up to go out with you.” She seemed to blush when she noticed what her lips had uttered. She seemed to be cursing herself in her mind, which I found quite cute.
“Yeah, I’m not lying. I guess it just seems like I never really wanted to date all my life. I had always just focused my all on my mother before she passed away, and being an assassin I guess. I never really had to think about first kisses because it wasn’t a priority.” I chuckled sheepishly and I saw her unique eyes light up once more from my words. She seemed to be thinking about how to reply to that and I watched as expressions flitted across her face, as if she couldn’t tell which emotion she wanted to feel in that moment.
“So… I guess I’m special huh?” She chuckled, choosing to joke with me. I smiled at her attempt at making this conversation less embarrassing. Letting out a soft sigh, I chuckled.
“I guess you could say that. So, I guess it’s your turn to drive huh?” I didn’t really feel like going to sleep knowing that I could be spending more time with this beautiful angel before me, but I knew that I needed the rest for when it was my turn to drive. She seemed to notice that we were still just sitting there and she started, looking around; most likely looking for the scaly creature that had come from my dimension.
She quickly switched me spots, crawling over me to get to my seat, while I did the same to get to the passenger seat. She didn’t seem to want to chance getting out of the car and having the monster come for her. I shook my head at her actions and then watched as she situated herself in the driver’s seat.
I wanted to just drift off into oblivion because I just realized how exhausted I was just then, but my mind still seemed to be going 100 miles per hour with the thoughts of our kiss fresh in it. A blush colored my cheeks as I remember the sensation, and as an overwhelming urge to kiss her again came to me. I looked over towards her to see if she had noticed my blush. She chose that moment to look in my direction and noticed my blush. She raised an eyebrow in question and I bit my lip nervously.
I had no idea why I was still so nervous around her with these feelings when I had just kissed her, but I couldn't stop the skip in my heartbeats as we stared at each other, entranced by her gaze. I smiled crookedly and before I could stop myself, my mouth opened up.
“Uh… can I steal another kiss?” I immediately went red and slapped a hand over my face, trying to hide my total embarrassment. I couldn’t believe that I had just said something so lame! I heard her soft chuckle and groaned in frustration.
“I don’t know… can you?” She murmured as she drove smoothly down the road. I slowly slid my hand away from my face and took in her expression. She seemed to hold a hope in her eyes, giving my answer immediately. A smile lit up my face and I moved closer towards her as she concentrated on the road in front of her. Her sweet aroma filled my senses as I drew closer to her and it just made my urge to kiss her all the stronger.
She turned when she noticed that I hadn’t spoken in response to her. She seemed to be about to say something to me, but then she noticed just how close I was to her then. I smiled when I saw a flash of nervousness come into her eyes, finally knowing that I wasn’t the only one. I then quickly closed the distance between the two of us.
She seemed to be a little surprised when our lips connected as the sparks flew once more. A soft giggle escaped her lips then and we enjoyed the kiss for a moment more before she pulled away to concentrate on the road.
“I think it’s about your bed time mister.” She said jestingly, trying to sound as if she were being stern. I rolled my eyes in response and then intertwined our hands before I allowed my mind to clear just a smidge and allow oblivion to slowly slip in and take me under its grasp.
