Chapter Thirty-Three

I grin at B "wait before we leave is she expecting us"

B shakes his head "I thought we'd surprise her"

I grin even wider now we can do the idea I just had "okay perfect because I just had a really good idea or at least I think it's a really good idea"

He shakes his head with a chuckle "what is it?"

"We get them t-shirts to reveal the baby to them"

B nods "Okay then let find them some t-shirts then"

I pull it up on my phone looking through some shirts I grin showing it to B "what about this for Mama and Mama Becky?" It's light blue and it says 'I can't keep calm, I'm gonna be a grandma'

B smirks "oh those are perfect for our Mamas"

I scroll down a little and find the perfect ones for daddy and Keith "and these are perfect for our daddy's" I show the picture to B he chuckles "you are right about that" this one is a light gray and says 'Oh Deer I'm gonna be a Grandpa'

I order two of each in the correct sizes "okay they will be here in two days, I think you should call your Mama and Keith and set something up for when the shirts get here and then I'll call Mama and Daddy and tell them about it"

B leans over and kisses me "okay baby girl I'll go call mama and set it up then I'll call dad and get him to come then you can call Mama Lynn and Jeff"

I grin at him "okay" I Peck him on the lips as I walk back into the living room.

Ko looks at me "what's the plan Kels?"

I grin at him "well we are holding off on telling them for a few days give the t-shirts I ordered for our parents time to come in and B is setting up I'm guessing a little family get together and we are gonna give them the shirts as the reveal" 

"Well it's a clever idea" 

After a few minutes B walks back into the living room "okay so I set up a family dinner at Mama's Sunday evening and everybody is gonna be there, so Kels if you wanna call Jeff and Mama Lynn about it go ahead and even though you told Kasey, Mama wants to see her, see if she can come in" 

I nod "gotcha I'll go ahead and call Mama and tell her about dinner and Kasey is supposed to call me back when she gets off work so I'll bring it up to her then" I grab my phone and walk into the kitchen to call mama. 

"Kelsey baby"

I smile "hey mama"

"What is it, Kelsey?"

"We set up a family dinner at Mama Becky's for Sunday evening and you and daddy need to be there as well"

I hear the confusion in her voice "okay but what's going on?"

"You have to wait until Sunday to find out Mama, all I'll say is that it's nothing bad okay?"

"Okay sweetheart, we will see you on Sunday then?"

"You will mama and everything will make sense I promise"

"Love you sweetie"

"Love you too mama, tell daddy I love him" 

We hang up the phone as I walk back into the living room "alright mama and daddy are gonna be there, now just gotta wait for Kasey to call me back and I can tell her about it and see if she's off then" 

A couple of hours later Ko, B and I are just chilling out watching cheesy horror movies, my head resting on B's lap as he plays with my hair, my phone goes off I check the ID to see Kase calling me back, I don't feel like getting up answer so I don't bother leaving my position as I answer the phone.

"Hey, Kase"

"Kels.... So how did they take it?"

I chuckle lightly "well we decided to do something different, I ordered shirts for the four of them, they should be here by Friday and B set up a family dinner at Mama Becky's to do the reveal and if you can manage to make it Mama Becky wants to see you and I'm sure Mama and daddy wouldn't object to seeing you"

Kasey smiles "I am actually off Saturday and Sunday so I can be there and I get to see the reactions for myself and Marilyn said to tell you congratulations she was off-camera when you told me but she heard it, also said she didn't realize you had a boyfriend, to begin with.... I told her that you guys were keeping it quiet for a while and she was like oh yeah I don't blame her with that crazy lifestyle she has" 

I let out a giggle "oh Marilyn is such a trip, she's so funny.... but anyway back on topic so you will be there Sunday?"

"Yes Kels, I will be there on Sunday"

I grin at the screen "great this is going to be so much fun and tell Marilyn, I said thank you"

Kase nods "will do, I'm gonna have to bring her in one of these days so she can see where I grew up, did I tell you that she's from Athens?" 

I grin at her "Oh my god, seriously? your best friend from work grew up down the road from you and you never met until you started working at the same hospital in Alabama?"

Kase laughs "I know when she told me I was like what? seriously how had we not met before we started working together that's when I told her that I grew up right down the road from Athens but I didn't tell her exactly where" 

"Oh my god, if you can swing it bring her along this weekend"

"Are you sure? this is a family dinner after all"

I roll my eyes "Kase she's been your best friend for what seven years now? pretty sure she qualifies as part of the family by now, plus you know mama and daddy love her like she was their own"

She sighs "okay jeez Kels you make a valid point, I'll see when I get to the house okay? she got off before me today" 

"Yay! I'll let you go Kase but love you, sis and I'll see you this weekend"

Kase nods with a smile "alright, I'll see this weekend Kels, love you and once again congrats to you and B"

I smile back at her "thanks Kase" after we hang up the phone B look down at me "So Kase can make it?"

I nod at him "Yeah she's off Saturday and Sunday so I see her coming in on Saturday" 

He nods "Mama will be happy about that and who is Marilyn?"

I chuckle "Marilyn is one of Kasey's best friends they work together, she's such a trip, she was just off-camera when I told Kase the news and mama and daddy love her anyway so I figure just include her since she is basically part of the family anyway"

"That was sweet to include her like that" "yeah well she's the only one that I actually like out of Kasey's friends from work and Kase knows this, the others get weird around me except for Marilyn she just acts normal... your mama will love her too god I know she will"

Well I decided to make the reveal to the parents a little more special than just flat out telling them so the t-shirt idea happened and that will for sure happen next chapter and introduced Marilyn slightly she will play a bigger part in Kasey's story once I get it started because she's Kasey's best friend.
