"I really don't want to fly. We can just drive, eh?" Jamie suggests looking at me then his mom to see if he had our support in the matter.
Heather simply shakes her head while smiling at her son.
His eyes travel to me to see if I would agree with him.
I pat his back before checking my apple watch.
"You wouldn't make it in time for the game if you drove." I hum texting a few people back before glancing at Jamie.
"Hey, look at me." I look up at him and smile.
"You are going to be just fine. I promise. Do you think that if anything about this was uncertain the Stars would let us leave? I know they wouldn't. I promise, Jamie, we are going to be alright. You just don't need to look out the window."
He shakes his head glancing away from me.
I smile and hold his hand swinging our arms.
"Stop worrying. You're going to be asleep in the first thirty minutes anyways."
He chuckles and looks down at me shaking his head.
"Are you always this hyper before flights?"
I nod my head before letting go of his hand when my name is called.
"I have to go work. I'll see you on the plane." I murmur walking up to where Tom Holly was with the photographers.
~
I laugh softly as Tom and I finally get on the plane.
We had to make sure that the pictures were good and I had to get them sent to my phone and computer so I could pick which ones I want to put in a post later and edit them too.
I take a sip of water before walking to my seat. I squeeze Jamie's shoulder on the way sending him a reassuring smile.
I was sitting beside Tom so we could talk about a few things that I would be posting about on Twitter once we land.
I buckle up and relax in my seat. Tom let me have the window and took the aisle seat which I was grateful for since I loved to watch the clouds and sky.
I turn my phone on airplane mode before grabbing my computer and starting to edit the pictures from earlier and getting them how I want them to be so they can fit in the theme and aesthetic of the Instagram.
~
Tom and I were the first off the plane so we could get pictures of the players and their mothers as they get on the bus.
We laugh as we dance to the music coming from the bus waiting for the players and staff to get off the plane.
I had already placed my carry on and back pack on the bus so I didn't have to worry about making sure I didn't knock that over.
I snicker seeing Jamie was the first one off with his mom.
"Captains always get priority exiting?" I ask Tom teasingly as the pair approach the bus.
He simply chuckles before turning his attention to Jamie and Heather.
Jamie smiles tiredly at us before putting his and his moms bags under the bus.
"Look at that, you survived yet another flight." I tease him as he goes to walk on the bus.
Jamie gives me a playful glare before stepping on the bus.
I snap the occasional picture of a player doing something cute or adorable for their mom.
Once everyone is situated on the bus Tom and I get on.
"Okay crew! We are first going to the hotel to get everyone settled and checked in. At five-thirty everyone needs to be down in the lobby." He smiles before scanning the bus.
"Tyler, you need to be down in the lobby by four that way you might actually be there by five thirty. We will be going to dinner as a group and then you will come back here and have some downtime until Brie calls you."
I smile before taking the mic from Tom.
"I hope everyone had a great flight and no one had a mental breakdown thinking they were going to die." I smile looking at Jamie.
"As Tom said, I will be calling each player and mom to a room in the hotel for a quick interview. It won't take maybe twenty minutes at the most. This is just for the video that we are going to make about the mom's trip. This is a first for the Star's and an important trip for some of us. We want to make sure the fan base and world knows why this is so special and important." I explain before looking at Tom seeing if I need to say anything else.
"Oh and moms, you all will be sticking with me tomorrow. So, when I call you and your boy to the room I'll give you more details."
I nod my head before putting the mic up and sitting down with Tom.
"You sure are a mouth piece, Bishy."
I giggle at the nickname the coach had given me. He said that since Ben was here first he gets to be called Bish.
"That I am, sir. Years around the Nashville Predators will do that." I joke leaning back in the seat.
"You're really good for our team."
I look at Coach smiling happily.
"I try to be good for them. I mean they are my boys now. When they win I win. When they loose I loose. If they have a good game I'm happy. If they have a bad game I'm upset and I am their shoulder to lean on. I've learned it's the best way to really connect with a team in the position I am in. This way when I have to do something mildly annoying for them they won't mind as much because it's just me."
Jim Montgomery smiles at me as if he was proud of what I was saying.
"You're also dating the captain. So if they have a bad night you have to be there."
I blush nodding my head. "Yeah you're right. I gotta keep him with a level head or the whole team is at a loss, yeah? I mean he's easy to take care of. Jamie just needs attention and reassurance and lucky for him I can provide both. I also have to deal with Benji. He's probably the worse one out of all the team."
Tom laughs from beside me nodding his head in agreement.
"Do you rank the players on who is the hardest to take care of to the easiest?" Tom asks jokingly.
I nod my head smiling. "Yeah I do. It makes my life a lot easier knowing that after a loss if I have to go help interview someone who is going to be the least likely to snap at me. Miro is probably the easiest in all honesty then probably Segs. Benji is at the bottom. He's just pissy after a loss. Jamie is in the middle since he hates media in general and he takes all the blame. Rads is near the bottom because he really takes the loss to heart."
Coach chuckles at me shaking his head.
  "And you're only twenty-four."
I smile nodding my head.
"Never underestimate the mind of twenty-four year old female when she's surrounded by temperamental hockey players." I tease.
