Two hours.
That's how long it took to get all the mom's and players settled in.
Who knew NHL players were such divas?
My feet are killing me by the time I finally get to my room.
I would have to thank my brother later since he dropped my bags off on his way to his room with mom.
I kick my shoes off and shed my jacket having very little time to get ready for dinner.
My body jolts hearing my phone ring from its place on the bed.
I answer it quickly seeing the caller I.D.
"What's up short stock?"
I laugh shaking my head at P.K.'s nickname for me.
"Trying to get ready. I miss you all. It never took two hours to get you settled into a hotel."
He snorts through the phone before some rustling comes through.
"So you going to be back in Nashville Friday right?"
I look through my bag trying to settle on what dress I should wear.
"Huh? Oh yeah I'll be there then. Sorry trying to figure out what to wear."
"The pink one. It's classy but still gives you a bit of oof, ya know, and the black red bottoms I got you on our latest shopping spree."
I snicker hearing his input. It was almost scary at how well he knew what I pack.
"How do you know I packed those?" I tease him.
"Really? I'm your best friend I know you. Also I know what you pack because you pack almost the same stuff every tine."
I shed my clothes before doing a quick wipe down with baby wipes.
"Yeah yeah. Whatever you jerk." I laugh softly.
I put my lotion on before pulling on the pink long sleeve off the should body con dress. I pull on my black louboutin's that had a silk ribbon so i could tie a bow around my ankle.
"We have to do our usual Valentine's Day routine then. I know you'll be working but we've been doing this since forever."
I smile as I listen to my best friend before furrowing my eyebrows.
"Wait when is Valentine's Day?"
P.K. makes a noise before laughing.
"Why are you so concerned? Do you have a valentine's?" He asks in his childish tone.
"Yes P.K. in fact I do have a valentines and his mother just happens to be on this trip and I'm screwed if I just don't do anything for him."
"Oh my god not again. Who are you dating? You never tell me these things you asshole!"
I smile faintly at P.K. before laying back on the bed. I love how invested P.K. gets when i tell him about my love life.
"Jamie Benn. Yeah well I'm sorry. I have been super busy and we haven't talked in like a week or so."
P.K. laughs before talking to someone on his side of the phone.
"Hey Brie!"
I laugh hearing Lindsey Von's voice.
"Hey LV! Your boyfriend is being childish."
She laughs and I knew she would be nodding her head.
"He always is. So, I've heard that you forgot about Valentine's Day. It's tomorrow just letting you know."
I groan covering my face.
"You're such an overdramatic child! Just give him a BJ and all will be good." P.K. chuckles through the phone.
I snicker hearing a loud smack followed by an 'ow'.
"No don't do that. I mean if you want to go ahead that's up to you. I would suggest something adorable and sentimental. His mom is there right? Ask her about things he did when he was younger or some of his favorite things as a kid. Use her being there as an advantage not a obstacle."
I listen to Lindsey's advice before a knock on my door breaks my thoughts.
"So are you going to blow him or not?" P.K. asks snickering through the phone.
I roll my eyes as I open the door.
"Oh hey." I smile seeing Jamie and his mom at the door.
I knew he heard P.K. it was written on his face.
"Okay Subbantor, I have to go. Yeah bye LV. Thanks for the help bye." I quickly hang up giving the pair a sheepish look.
"Sorry, He was worried about me."
Heather nods her head the motherly smile still on her face.
So either she didn't hear what P.K. said or she is acting like she didn't.
"Ben gave me your room number. Are you ready? We can all walk down together."
I smile at Jamie before nodding my head.
"I need to grab my purse and jacket but then I'll be ready. You all can come in."
I walk back into my room spraying myself with a bit of perfume and grabbing my leather jacket.
"Your room is nicer than ours." Jamie hums glancing around at the room.
I look over at him laughing softly.
"Your room is a two bedroom suite. Mine is just a one bedroom suite. I don't know how one of them is nicer than the other."
"Yours has a jetted tub. It's better." Jamie points out before giving me a look as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
I laugh softly as I grab my purse.
"You can use my jetted tub if you are jealous of it." I tease before popping on some lipstick.
"No, please don't put that on."
My eyes go to Jamie hearing his plead.
"What?" I ask confused on what he didn't want me to put on.
He grabs a tissue and hands it to me while taking my lipstick away.
"It feels weird when I kiss you. It's like dry and not like normal feeling."
I cough trying not to laugh at his reasoning.
Shaking my head I take it off knowing that if I don't he won't kiss me tonight.
I glance over my shoulder hearing heather laugh.
"You two are so adorable."
My cheeks heat up while I look up at Jamie.
He nods his head his dorky smile on his face.
"Let's go. I'll get yelled at if I'm late."

It took thirty minutes for all the moms and players to get in the lobby.
Per usual Tyler is the last one to get to the lobby.
His mom looks less than pleased with her son, while he has red cheeks probably embarrassed from just getting scolded by his mom the whole was down here.
"Brie, you look beautiful sweetie!" Jackie says as she stands beside Heather and Alison Oleksiak.
I smile and playfully curtsy. I straighten up when I hear Tom's voice behind me.
"Tyler, so nice of you to join us."
I snicker before looking at Tyler who was still red faced.
"So, we are going to be heading out to the Alamo, which no is not the actual Alamo for all you smart assess out there, cough cough Bish."
I smile at Tom hearing him call out my brother.
"We will get there in probably fifteen minutes. Boys, remember you do have a morning skate tomorrow so don't drink so much alcohol you get sick." I finish up for Tom.
I stay back watching as the players get on the bus with their moms.
I get on once Tom says that everyone is accounted for.
"Brie baby." I look around trying to locate my mom.
I walk over to her once I find her and Ben.
"Yeah mama bear?" I hum in response leaning against the seat she was sitting in.
  "You are doing so well."
My heart swells hearing the words come from her mouth.
"Benji has been telling me about what all you have been doing with and for the team. I've heard many of the guys talk about how amazing you are. I'm really proud of you."
I smile at my mom and hug her gently.
  "Brie!"
I laugh softly before looking at Tom.
"No sappy family stuff that's for the boys!"
I snicker before rolling my eyes playfully.
I walk to the front of the bus and sit down.
"Who knew you could clean up and look like a lady."
I smile and look at him.
"You must have not seen me in Boston then." I wink.
His face is filled with curiosity.
Boston, that was a time that was very unknown to most people.
  "Oh do tell."
I simply smirk and shake my head.
"That's a story for another day."
