As soon as they stepped into the roadhouse, Lillian felt relief wash over her. The familiar scent of peanuts, booze, and sweat was oddly comforting. She looked around taking in the roadhouse's rustic charm. Hunters filled the building, most already drunk despite the early hour.

Almost immediately, her eyes fixated on the petite girl shooting targets on a nearby arcade game near a scraggly looking hunter. Lillian couldn't help but grin as the trio watched the blonde shoot every target. Even Dean had to crack a smile as Jo walked towards them triumphantly, money in hand as her mother pointed the high scores out to the hunter. Lillian rushed forward first, pulling Jo into a tight hug.

Dean stared at the two girls as they embraced, happy to see them reunited. He approached the women cautiously, not wanting to interrupt. Lillian was mad enough without him breaking up her reunion. Jo broke from the hug first, leaving one arm around the redhead's shoulders as she smiled up at the brothers. "Just can't stay away can you?"

The oldest Winchester smirked, stepping closer. "Yeah looks like." He watched as Lillian's eyes flicked to the floor, not missing the fact that she was still pissed at him. "How've you been Jo?" As she opened her mouth to respond, Sam cut her off.

"Where's Ash?" he snapped, clearly focused on his goal alone.

Lillian's head whipped up as she glared at the youngest Winchester. She understood his worry, but typically Dean was the brother whose manners she had to keep in check. Sammy shrugged, shifting back and forth anxiously. Dean shot his brother an annoyed look as Jo answered, her confusion evident. As Sam rushed off to find the redneck genius, Dean and Lillian apologized profusely.

"He's got a lot on his mind right now," Lillian explained. "I'll chew him out later." The older Winchester nodded approvingly.

"Hey, uh... We should probably go with him, though," Dean reminded Lillian gently. The younger girl shook her head, crossing her arms in defiance.

"You should go with. Me and Jo have some catching up to do." She smirked mischievously, knowing full well that it would make Dean nervous. "Besides, you have to tell Ash I'm here after he gives you what you need, or you won't get any of his attention." Her best friend rolled his eyes, clearly curious as to what exactly she meant. As he walked away, both Jo and Lillian watched, laughing quietly at his confusion.

The blonde looked over, amused by the look on her friend's face. "Hm... he's certainly still complicated, isn't he?" she sighed, handing her friend a beer.

Lillian turned her attention to the Harvelle girl, raising the bottle in acknowledgment. "Oh, you have no idea." The women sat down at a nearby table, each looking the other up and down.

Jo watched as the redhead fidgeted with a small coin, tossing it back and forth between her hands. She nodded towards the movement, quietly asking, "You nervous? It's been a minute since you went on a hunt."

She shrugged, leaning back in her chair. "I'm not sure I would call it nervous exactly. I know what I'm doing and I'm glad to be here, but um..." she stared off for a moment, thinking before she continued. "I haven't been hunting with the boys... Ever. It's just different, y'know? With you, I know what to expect, how to have your back." She looked towards the door the boys had headed towards. "The boys are reckless. They just lost their dad and I have a feeling if they were unpredictable before..."
