A/N: Y'all. I'm not gonna lie. This is one of my favorite chapters. I'm actually really excited about the inspiration that got this chapter going and I can't wait to continue with all these new ideas. I think y'all are really going to like it. Most of y'all will be able to figure it out fairly quickly, but just in case, this section takes place in the ghost town where all of the demon blood kids are transported towards the end of season 2
"Is it true?" Lillian's eyes flew open only to find an absolutely fuming Sam standing over her. Slowly, she pushed herself into a sitting position.
"Sammy, you're gonna need to be a little more specific. There's a lot of weird crap going on."
To her surprise, the youngest Winchester's hands curled into fists at his side and his anger seemed to escalate at her comment. "Did you know about the demon blood?"
At that, all traces of humor vanished. For a moment, she was at a loss for words, her mouth opening and closing multiple times as she scrambled for something to say. "Sammy-"
He spun around, lifting a hand to gesture angrily towards her. "So it is true. You knew."
"Sam, I suspected, but there isn't-"
"Oh don't give me that crap, Lil!" She flinched as if his words had physically attacked her. "How long have you known?"
"Sammy, in case you haven't noticed, there isn't exactly an exact science-"
"Fine then suspected!"
She froze. For a moment her brain seemed to shut down, panic overtaking every sense. "I... I..." The redhead paused, trying desperately to swallow the lump in her throat. "A few months? When... Whenever you told me about the first vision."
Now it was his turn to freeze. An icy cold settled over his expression. Lillian felt her heart sink further than she had ever thought possible as she watched his anger grow more with every second. For what felt like an eternity, silence settled over the small room. Finally, the youngest Winchester found the words he had been searching for. "You knew. All that time I thought I was going crazy and you knew." Suddenly another horrible thought hit him. "How the hell did you even know?"
What little color remained in Lillian's face drained away. Her mind was completely devoid of any excuses and pure terror overtook her. She opened her mouth but no sound came out. She was vaguely aware of the sound of Sam continuing to yell at her, but she couldn't process a word that was said. "Experience." The word fell from her lips before she could gather her thoughts and she could tell Sammy was stunned into silence at the slip of her tongue. After a beat too long, Lil's hands flew to cover her mouth. Not until after that did she process the weight of what she had just admitted. "Oh...." she gasped.
Unfortunately for Lillian, Sam recovered faster than she did. "Experience? Exper-What the hell is that supposed to mean? You've seen this before? And you still didn't-"
At last her brain seemed to click back on. "I wasn't even sure you had demon's blood, Sammy! There was no way for me to know. And I know you if it had something to do with that fire you'd take on all that blame and it's too much Sam! It's all too much!" Tears streamed from her cheeks as she finally let out the jumbled chaos of emotions she'd held in for so long.
Instantly, his brow furrowed and his fists unclenched as he watched her break down. Suddenly it all seemed to fall into place. "Who and how?" he sighed at last. Her head snapped up and she stared at him with wide eyes. Before she could speak, he raised a hand to cut her off. "I'm not stupid Lil. You're like me. That's why you're here. That's how you know. Now how did it happen and who's death did you see?"
