currently im an intern in a hospital here in manila. as i arrive there is a call for emergency and doc Sanchez, my senior called for me.

pagdating namin sa ER. may patient na namimilipit sa skit. doc sanchez check her situation and it is positive for appendicitis.

"we need an immediate operation." sbi ni doc sanchez

"gurdian of ms montenegro" tawag ko.

"yes" tumayo ung babae na nakaupo sa waiting area

"james?" sbi nya. si--

"jecca? bkt andito? wait. dont tell me---"

"oo. si kath nga ung nakahandusay dyan. surgeon ka?"

"oo."

"pls do your best. si kath yan eh"

"dont worry... mamaya na tayo magkamustahan."

si kath pala ung patient namin. thats why she seems familiar.

the operation was successful and kath was transfered to a room. buti naagapan ung stituation nya dahil if was an hour or two shes late. posible na sumabog na ung apendix nya.

there's not much of patients more of observations lng. so i visits kath,'s room

nandun sila jecca and a couple.

"nagising na ba si kath?" i asked

"di pa.. tulog mantika eh"

di pa rin nagbabago si jecca. maybe kath too. i checked her vital signs and its good

"sige babalik na lang ako pg nagising si kath"

"sige doc. salamat" and i left.

i went to my other patient to check on him.

"mukang good mood ka doc ahh." sabi ng patient ko na matandang lalaki

"hindi naman po. pano nyo nman nasabi tay?"

"maganda kasi ung ngiti mo. kakaiba kc. may nangyari bang maganda?"

"wala naman po. nakita ko po kc ung dati kong kaibigan"

"babae noh?" nagulat ako. panu nya nalaman un?

"panu nyo po nalaman?"

"wala lng.. " ngumiti sya. after i check his status i went to nurse station.

"doc, gising na po ung nasa room 208."

"ahh okay sige"

gising na pala si kath. ill check on her. pagpasok ki n room nagtatawanan sila nung mapatingin sken si kath. i noticed na natigilan sya at kinikilala nya ko. so i smiled.

"james?!"

"yes. how are you feeling?"

"teka... pano... " nagtataka sya. she is really surprised. mukang d pa rin sya nagbabago. shes is really funny

"well things happend. it happens to be na im an intern here"

"ahh ou nga pla medicine kinuha mo" halatang namumula sya

"yep"

"james. wat tym out mo mamaya??" tanong ni jecca

"3pm pa. bakit?"

"if you have time. visit us here para makapagkamustahan tayo ng matagal. kc mukhang busy ka eh"

"sure."
