[ Forty Seven ]

~Hazel's POV~

Jungkook had stayed for a little bit longer, but then had to leave because Seokjin was spamming him with texts about dinner. He had asked if I'd wanted to join them, but declined, saying that I should stay here with my dad.

He nodded and got up and left, wishing me a good evening.

I then went in search of my dad. It wasn't a long search as I found him in his room watching TV on the small screen they had.

He turned it off as I came in and motioned for me to sit next to him.

The room smelled of my mom's perfume.

I think he sprayed it whenever he missed her.

I sat next to him. "You better be careful spraying that. You could get a headache."

He just smiled at me, taking my hand in his. "I'll be okay, Bug. How are you holding up?"

I shrugged. "Pretty well, I'm more worried about you."

"Don't worry. Soon I'll be gone and you won't have to worry about me." He laughed.

"Dad, don't say that!"

"Twenty years should be enough time for you to settle down and get a job and all that."

"So when you're sixty seven? You'll have just retired."

He smiled. "Then I can give all my money to you."

"I know mom is forty two, but I don't see any signs of you leaving anytime soon."

"We didn't know your mother was diagnosed, did we?"

I looked down and sighed. "No."

He ruffled my hair. "All we can do is look towards the future and hope for good things."

I nodded in agreement.

"Now what's this jpop stuff you're doing?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Not jpop, kpop. I'm helping the boys with their performance."

"Because Jimin's dead?"

I nodded and he pat my back.

"I wish you the best of luck." He smiled.

"Thanks, Dad." I smiled in return.

"Always, Pumpkin." He kissed my forehead.
