Mothers day.

One of the most sentimental moments of the year.

Especially if your mom is no longer with you.

This was the case for Hazel and her dad.

She had lost her mom and he, his wife.

They sat in front of her grave and stared at it longingly.

Oh how they missed her.

They had expected it to rain like it would on a sad occasion, but instead the sun was shining bright.

Hazel's dad, Frank, liked to call his wife, Cynthia, Sunshine.

"She's with us today." He said.

His daughter, Hazel, nodded in agreement.

"I miss when she would want to do my hair." She said.

"I miss when she would go on her Febreze Sprees." Her father replied.

"Or when she'd spill something while she was cooking and yell, I hate Math! Or Frank!"

Her father laughed. "Or when you both would start commentating on a movie."

The two of them went on and on, talking about things they miss about her.

Up in the sky, she was doing the same thing.

"I would always tease Frank that he was getting bald. Said that meant he was getting older." She told the young man that was watching Hazel and Frank with her.

"I always made cookies when he was upset. He said the chocolate made him feel better." She shook her head and let out a small chuckle.

"I wish Hazel didn't have to cut and dye her hair." The young man said.

"She didn't have to, but that's what she chose to do." Cynthia smiled. "Jimin, everyone honors the dead in their own special way. That is how she chose to honor you."

Jimin smiled. "I know." He looked down at the two.

"Happy Mother's Day, Mom." They said.

"Happy Mother's Day, Cynthia."
