Hazel sat on her bed.
It was father's day, and she didn't know what to do.
It was usually her mom that came up with fun ideas and things to do.
Hazel sighed, kicking her feet.
"Hazel? Are you awake?" Her dad called.
She nodded, though she couldn't be seen. "Yeah, Dad."
"Why don't you come get some breakfast? I made bacon and eggs."
She smiled and walked to the kitchen, soon sitting down at the table.
They sat in silence of metal spoons hitting against metal pans, before Hazel finally said it.
"Happy Father's Day, Dad."
She gave him a small smile, even though she didn't have a gift to give him.
"Hazel, honey. Don't worry about giving me a gift. You and your mother are the best things I could ask for."
"And you're the best dad."
