The car ride to Derek's loft is frighteningly silent. Isaac shows no signs of calmness. In fact, he seems murderous and fearful all at once and I can take a guess as to why; Scott.

I don't understand what caused Scott to fraternize with the enemy pack, but Deucalion knows how to use his words. I wouldn't suspect Scott to be idiotic enough to fall for such trickery, but I have been proven wrong from multiple assumptions of others. When he tried to persuade me into joining his brutish pack, he had said all the right things to make my old self consider joining. If I had allowed him to continue coercing me, he might have been able to conjunct the perfect sentence to make my new self consider it. However, I am not one for taking orders, nor am I going to join anyone's pack.

As for Isaac, it's his nature to join a pack. And with Scott gone, what pack does he have to participate in? Even a blind man can see Isaac has been shifting his allegiance from Derek to Scott. Isaac has been so loyal to Scott, and vice versa, that he is bound to be bombarded with emotions when he learns that his new alpha has practically abandoned him. With everything that has happened with his family, this is the last thing he needs. I want him to leave Derek because I foresaw something like this happening with him, not Scott. There has to be some sort of misunderstanding of this abrupt decision.

Isaac halts his pacing through the loft at the sound of Cora's cough, "She's dying isn't she?"

I look down at her laying on Derek's bed to see her face contort to one of pain. It is noticeable that her body is struggling to fight off the poison. Black blood stains her lips from her constant gasps of breath, her skin is still ghostly pale, and it doesn't look like she'll be gaining any color back soon, and her sweating has worsened from when we left the hospital. Her clothes are practically sodden from how much she's sweating.

Cora hasn't been very responsive, aside from her coughs, since we brought her back to Derek's, and the more minutes that pass by, the closer to death she is. Without Jennifer, we're sitting ducks, but Derek is resistant on giving up on her. There is nothing I can do to alleviate her pain since my blood is useless to her kind and it physically hurts me to watch Derek see his sibling slowly fade into nothingness. Derek and I have hit more rough patches than anyone else, but I would never wish such pain on anyone. Losing a sibling is like losing your other half. At least, that's how it feels with me.

"I don't know," Derek answers void of emotions, still staring down at his sister.

"So what are you gonna do?" Isaac questions him with anger laced in his voice. I keep a distance from the scene that is unfolding. With Isaac's emotions going haywire, I want to give him the space he needs to cool down which seems unlikely to happen now. The more he talks to Derek, the angrier he seems to get. I'm not sure how to handle this situation with him, though.

Even with his own rough patches with Derek, he still showed compassion to him. He and Boyd both came to his rescue after everything he endured, never showing enrage. I've only seen him provoked by the twins and he acted on violence, but this anger is different.

"I don't know," Derek repeats weaker this time. The look in his eyes feels too familiar to me.

Isaac rubs at the back of his head, "Wanna figure something out? Because while Scott and Stiles were out there trying to help people from being killed, you were in here rolling around the sheets with the actual killer."

I should have stepped in at that moment, but I held my tongue. Isaac needs to calm down before he says something he will regret, but I can feel his frustration in waves. He wants to pin the blame on someone, specifically Derek, and release his pent-up anger. Naturally, I would condone such behavior like this, but I know Derek would have never wished this upon himself, nor his sister. I may dislike the guy, but I know he cares.
