Chapter 8: Unlocked Apologies

Third person P.O.V

One week.

It's been one week since Jack heard Finn call him fag boy.

Jack hasn't said a word to Finn about it. In fact, he hasn't said a word to Finn at all. Jack feels so hurt and betrayed. He was finally starting like Finn was his friend and then Finn called him what everyone calls him. A nickname he's pretty much gotten used to- but not when Finn said it.

Finn saying calling Jack "fag boy" hurt Jack more than you could ever imagine. He keeps trying to forget that Finn said it but he simoly cannot. He wishes he didn't hear Finn say it. He thinks he'd be better off happy and hanging out with Finn after school rather than being as miserable as he is right now.

Jack's father raped him two days ago.

Jack has no one to tell. He has no one to talk to and cry to. He feels like he has absolutely no one. He doesn't know why his life has to suck so badly. First he finally starts getting closer to Finn and starting to call him his friend, and then Finn calls him a fag, and then his father rapes him.

Jack's father has raped him before when he was really young. He was seven years old but he stills remembers. He will never forget. Jack wants nothing more than to call the police and tell them everything. But he never will. He will never call the police. He will never ask for help. He will never do anything about his father.

Jack's plan is, since he's almost 16 and he will be able to leave when he's eighteen, is to just ride this out. He tells himself he can deal with his father for two more years, because if he doesn't, he will have to go to foster care. He doesn't want that and that's exactly what would happen if he tells on his dad.

Jack is scared people would think he is crazy if he told them about his father. Jack's father had always been creepy and Jack still doesn't understand why his mother loved him so much. Jack's father wasn't as bad when Jack's mother was still alive. Once she died, Jack's father was truly broken and he hasn't changed since then.

Jack's been thinking about ending it. He thinks if he commits suicide, he won't have to worry anymore. He will be with his mother, and he won't have to deal with all this bullshit. He will be happy. Just like he was when he hung out with Finn.

Jack doesn't deserve this. He doesn't deserve any of this, but life isn't fair.
Especially to Jack.

Finns P.O.V

Triple Threat

Finn: I'm telling you somethings wrong with Jack guys.

Jaeden: Why? I mean I talk to Jack sometimes in 5th hour but...

Finn: Because he won't talk to me. He hasn't talked to me in a fucking week.

Wyatt: I know you want to be his friend and everything but I thought you like barely know him?

Finn: I don't know him that well but I know that somethings wrong.

Wyatt: Retrace your steps. Maybe it's not you. Maybe something else happened?

Jaeden: Yeah, it could be something else. It might not even be your fault. I mean he gets bullied all the time.
