Chapter 28: f a k e

Finns P.O.V

"Jack. Stop ignoring me." I said as I held my crying boyfriend in the parking lot. He shook his head no and and I sighed. "Baby.." I said quietly. He didn't reply, just tightened his grip on me a bit. "Babe you've gotta let me talk." I said.

He continued crying into my shirt without saying a word. "Jack- come on please." I said and he pressed his ear to my chest. I placed my chin on top of his head and closed my eyes. "Whatcha doing baby boy?" I asked.

"I love the sound of your voice and I hear it better when I do this." He spoke queitly. "Do you want me to keep talking?" I asked and he shook his head yes. "I love you baby boy. I love you so so much okay?" I said.

"Look.. What just happened with Millie... You know I wasnt trying to hurt you. You know that I love you and you know that I belong to you forever. I only told her that because I just felt confused hanging out with her again. I really dont like her like that way chickadee. Then I remembered how confused she used to make me feel.. I only want you, Jack." I said.

Jack continued crying into my shirt and I rubbed his back. "Babe.." I said. "I know you dont like her, Finn. It was just hard hearing you say that you do." He said quietly. "I dont babe. I really really dont." I said.

"Just.. Let's go home please." Jack said and looked up at me. I grabbed his hand and shook my head yes. "Go wait in the passenger seat of my car and I'll go tell Millie we are leaving okay?" I said.

"O-Okay Finn.." Jack said and he got into the car. I walked back inside and over to Millie. "Finn." She said in a sad tone and avoiding looking at me. "Millie... I dont really know what to say but just um... I'm sorry we are leaving though." I said and bit my lip.

Millie rolled her eyes and stood up. "My friend is picking me up. Just go." She said and I nodded. I walked back outside and got into the drivers seat. Jack looked over at me. "Where is she?" He asked as he sunk into his seat.

"Her friend is picking her up Jackie. Don't worry about her okay?" I said and pulled out of the skating rink. I glanced over at him and he laid his head against the window.

"Are you okay Jack?" I asked in a concerned tone and he placed his hand onto his stomach. "Jack answer me please." I said. "Keep your eyes on the road." He mumbled and closed his eyes. I'm starting to feel guilty for staring at him, so I turned back to the road.

Jack stayed quiet the ENTIRE way back to my house. I pulled into the driveway and Jack grabbed the car door handle. I reached over to him and grabbed his wrist gently. "Baby..." I said. He looked down at my hand and then back up at me. "W-What?" He asked.

"I love you and I'm sorry about what happened." I said quietly as I pulled him into my lap. He blushed and hugged me lazily. "Tighter babe." I said and he tightened his grip on me.

"We should go inside. We have school tomorrow and.. I'm tired." Jack said. "Okay Jackie." I said and turned the car off. Jack didnt say anything and hopped out of the car. I watched him walk inside, and my laid my head against the steering wheel.

As soon as I was starting to relax a little bit my phone started ringing. I sighed and pulled my phone out of my pocket.

"Finn. You fucking asshole." Jaedens voice was coming through the phone. "Jae.. I-I.." I stammered. "You what Finn? You hurt Jack. Again. I already know dipshit." Jaeden said and I sighed to myself.

"I dont know what your problem is, Finn. Jack deserves so much better than you. No one deserves to be treated how you treat him. Did you forget what kind of life Jack has had?" Jaeden spoke with anger in his voice.

"N-No I could never forget Jaeden. I love Jack with my whole heart." I said and crossed my legs.

"Prove it."

"Prove it? What do you mean prove it! I fucking love him!" I exclaimed. "I don't believe that you love Jack. I'm sorry but if you loved him you wouldn't treat him the way you do." Jaeden said and my heart sunk.

"I do love him. I havent been fair to him and I know that. I've been a dick but that does not mean I don't love him Jaeden. That is absolute bullshit." I said and began tapping my foot.

Jaeden laughed for a short period of time after I said that. "Finn. I cannot believe you. He told me what happened you know. With Millie." Jaeden said.

"I dont like Millie, Jaeden. I'm gay. You know this." I said. "Are you?" Jaeden said. "Of course I am! I would never lie about my sexuality! What kind of freak do you think I am!" I yelled.

"I never said I thought you were lying, and hey, maybe you're still confused, but that doesn't make it okay for you to tell Jack that you still like Millie when you're in a fucking relationship with him!" Jaeden exclaimed.

"I know it's not okay and I'm so sorry.." I bot my bottom lip. "Why are you apologizing to me? Apologize to Jack!" He shouted and I could tell he wasn't going to calm down.

"I already apologized to him." I said. "I'm sure whatever you said wasn't enough. So please go comfort him and be there for him you asshole. Don't bring up Millie, dont bring up any stupid past dares, don't cry to him because you're the one who messed up not him." He spoke quickly.

"Jaeden calm down. Please.. this is not helping me feel any better." I said.

"Look, I still care about you Finn. I care about you a lot and you're one of my bestfriends, but I also care about Jack. No I dont know the kid that much but I do know hes been through more than you'll ever be and I don't know if its healthy for him to be so fucking attached to you. He loves you and he hasnt been exposed to much and you started exposing him to shit like sex and alcohol. You're going to ruin Jack. I'm sorry but it's true!" Jaeden said and I got pissed off.

"Fuck you! I am not going to ruin Jack! How could you possibly say that!" I exclaimed. "Because it's a fact." Jaeden said.

I rolled my eyes and felt my face heating up. "I'm not ruining Jack. I've helped him SO much and he would be dead if it weren't for me!" I said and I kinda regretted saying it.

"Excuse me?" Jaeden said. "Jaeden.. please I didnt mean tha-" I started speaking and Jaeden cut me off. "You're such a fake Finn Wolfhard." He said and hung up.

I'm so fucking screwed.
