SKY
Friday came around and it consisted of the cheer team wearing our uniforms all day. Every Friday was this way, and it almost felt like it was a staple. A staple that I made it into something so important at this school and was finally a Jaguar.
It was time to tutor Alexander after classes. His house was in downtown Santa Barbara, so I had to take one bus there.
The neighbourhood was much different than the neighbourhood where I lived, and there were a lot more beat up apartments and people living on the streets. I didn't know downtown Santa Barbara was this bad, and I suddenly regretted not changing out of my cheerleader uniform and into something more covered up. I grew up in New York, so catcalling was a part of my day to day, but I always had pepper spray with me to few a little safer.
His house wasn't big, but a very nice and charming small two story house with bricked outside walls.
I lightly knocked twice and stepped back, waiting for him to open the door.
He opened the door wearing his iconic black shirt and black jeans. I hadn't really see him since that last time I tutored him on Tuesday. He was in some of my classes, but had a habit of skipping class as a lot of people said.
"Good afternoon, Williams." He greeted me, giving me his award winning smirk, his left dimple appearing.
"Hi." I said, and watched as his eyes scanned my attire. Heat rose to my face, and I adjusted the strap on my pink duffle bag.
I stayed silent as he allowed me in and rushed upstairs. When I took off my white shoes in the entrance, I noticed a small girl on the couch watching tv.
She seemed to be about six, and when she looked up at me, I noticed she held the same features as Alexander. The same green-blue eyes, bushy eyebrows and dark brown hair, but she had many clusters of melanin on her nose and cheeks.
"Hi." She waved.
"Hi! Are you Alexander's little sister?" I asked her, making my voice a little higher than usual.
She nodded and stood up to be in front of me.
"How old are you?" I smiled.
She held out five fingers while exclaiming. "Five!"
As I giggled, Alexander appeared in the living room with a confused expression.
"What are you doing?" He wondered.
"Introducing myself to your sister..?" I mocked, frowning at him.
"All right. Sky, Layla. Layla, Sky." He rushed, before grabbing my wrist and pulling me upstairs.
I had no idea we where we were going, but I assumed it was probably his room. I looked at his big hand wrapped around my wrist, and felt panic rush though my blood. I would hate for him to see my blisters again.
He led me all the way to his room and let go of me.
It was small with a bed next to the window. His bed had black and brown sheets on it, with one white pillow.
His room looked like a normal teenage boy's room, with bare white walls and photos of NBA players as well as a photo of Megan Fox in a bathing suit.
I walked around his room, stopping at a photo of Layla, him and what looked like his mother and smiled.
"My mom made me put that up. She thought I had too much stupid shit on my walls." Alexander explained, looking embarrassed.
I then walked to the hole that was on the wall, and looked back at him confused.
