"Two weeks suspension." Alexander stated.

Alexander and I were in the bleachers after school after the incident that happened today. For what he had done to that boy, it was a very light sentence, but perhaps his performance in school contributed to it.

"Well at least you didn't get kicked out of the team." I comforted him. "You can still go to championships tomorrow, yeah?"

"Yeah." He nodded.

Alexander looked down in thought. "I wish you could come tomorrow. I'm really gonna miss you cheering me on, you know."

I felt butterflies in my stomach. Trying to ignore the feeling, I got up and straightened my cheer uniform. I stood on a bleacher and started to clap.

"A-L-E-X-S-C-O-T-T!" I cheered, doing the choreography we had done for him so many times before.

He watched me through his tinted sun glasses, his elbows now on his knees and his legs spread apart. Alexander did not flash his teeth like he usually did, but had a very dark stare on me as he watched me.

I lost confidence and stopped. "You don't like it?"

"Keep going." He smiled finally, but then went back to his serious expression when I continued.

I spun around with body rolls and my hands in the air. "A-L-E-X, you've got this game!" I finished.

He clapped for me and got up, pretending to dribble a ball and shoot it. I cheered for him, jumping up and down. We shared a long laugh and looked at each other when our laughs died down. It would actually be really sad to have him be gone for two weeks, as well as Elena.

We got down from the bleachers and made our way towards the school's parking lot.

"I'll see you at your house later." I waved at him, walking off because I needed to buy something before I go to his house to tutor him. I had gotten my period this morning and only had one tampon left.

"Why? I'll just drive us there." He asked.

I looked down embarrassingly and he looked at me weirdly.

"I need to buy something." I informed him, beginning to walk away.
"I'll drive you." He grabbed my wrist again and brought me to the car.

Out of options, I let him bring me to the passengers seat and buckle me up quickly before walking around. I never understood why he did this.

"Where?" He asked.

"Drugstore."

He drove me to the drugstore and I told him I'd be back and quickly got my tampons and jogged back to the car.

I sat quietly and tried to put the bag beside my feet so it was out of his reach but he looked in my opening the bag with his fingers.

"Please don't say anything." I begged, covering my face with my hands. Alexander took my wrists and pulled my hands off.

"Why are you embarrassed?" He asked me, tilting his head down to meet my face.

I shrugged and looked at him, my face still heated.

"No reason to be." He reassured me and let go of my hands.

I nodded at him. Our eyes remained connected as he sat back down on his seat, giving me that boyish smile as he started up the car.

When we arrived at his house, Alexander turned off the the rock music from his speakers. I placed the box of tampons in my backpack quickly and went to open the door when I saw that Alexander had already opened it.
