Alexander and I got bags full of snacks from Walmart. He got a bunch of high-protein foods while I got chocolate chip cookies, chips and Diet Coke. I wasn't an unhealthy person but comfort food was nice at that moment.

He bought everything for us, without even letting me offer. I felt bad letting him pay for things especially when this was the money my mother gave me and he was probably using his hard earned money.

We reached a hotel and I grew extremely confused. It was a high end hotel that reached the clouds.

"W-what?" I questioned, but he ignored me and climbed out of the truck. I got out as well, continuing to ask him what the hell was going on.

He ignored me and walked in, walking towards the woman at the front desk who smiled as soon as she saw him.

She had brown hair tied into a low bun, and seemed to be seemingly pleased to see Alexander. A strange feeling came about, but I ignored it and trailed behind Alexander.

"Hello, Hannah." He greeted her, and she give him a small smile while batting her lashes. She wasn't paying any attention to me at all. "Could I go to the roof again?"

"Ugh, sure." She giggled, excessively giggled. She seemed to be in her late twenties, with a voluptuous body.

He thanked her one last time before grabbing my wrist and dragging me to the elevator.

"This is my second place I come to when I'm mad." He explained.

There, was hundreds of plants and flowers growing. Pink, white, yellow and red flowers. There were hanging vines and and even growing vegetables. I placed a white rose in between my fingers and smiled, loving the beauty all around us.

I was so amazed at the sight but when I realized how far up we were, I froze in my spot.

He looked back at me. "What?"

"I'm afraid of heights."

"So? You're not looking down.." He said, his eyebrows frowning at me. I nodded and took a few breaths before following him.

He sat in the middle of the roof, gesturing for me to sit beside him. I did, sitting with my legs tucked under me since I had a skirt on. He sat with his long legs spread in front of him and took out the food.

Alexander began eating his sandwich and protein bars, and I just watched him, laughing at how much of a hungry animal he looked like.

"I didn't buy all that food for me, you know?" He gestured the food and I raised my eyebrows.

I ate some of the chips he got for me and looked out at the beautiful horizon.

"So, how many places do you go to when you're mad?" I ask to break the silence.

"One more place, but it's a secret." He eyed me suspiciously. I grew curious and wanted to know.

"Tell me."

"No."

"I won't stop asking until you tell me." I informed him.

"Suit yourself." He shrugged, and I stayed quiet, deciding not to waste my breath.

He was so mysterious and he seemed to always be hiding something. I wanted to know everything about him. What made him so angry? Why was he friends with people he didn't like?

"Why did you move here?" He asked.

He was so innocent when he asked this, but the story behind it was something I could never speak to anyone about.
