SKYI sat down next to Elena with my legs crossed. Everyone was sitting in a circle passing around the bottle, pouring some into cups. I didn't notice that Alexander was still standing behind me until a guy spoke up. He was a tall blonde that was a player on the team that sat on the bench a lot.
"Come on, sit Alex." He waved Alexander over. With one huff, he sat down next to him, on the opposite side of me.
Elena offered me a drink of the large bottle she was holding but I declined because the last time I drank, it didn't go well at all.
"Let's play 'Truth, Dare or Drink'." A red head on the cheer team, who I didn't know the name of, slurred.
They excitedly and drunkenly cheered, getting closer together. I didn't know the game but I understood it pretty quickly. You picked truth or dare and if you didn't want to answer or do the dare, you took a drink.
They took turns asking each other questions, like are you a virgin?, or what's your body count?
I hoped people would ignore me, so that I could continue to silently get to know people's lives. They were so interesting, each different in their own ways but similar in others. I stayed silent and watched all the devious looks they gave each other, all the laughs at something slightly embarrassing that was shared, the lust in the boys' eyes as they uncovered secrets about someone they had their eye on, the absence of ignominy as they kissed each other.
Suddenly it was Justin's turn to ask a question. "Yo, Alex."
Alexander looked over to him, still not showing any interest.
"Truth or Dare." Justin asked.
"Truth." He said.
"Boobs or ass?"
All the guys started chuckling, and I could see the interest creeping on the eyes of the cheerleaders. Alexander flashed pearly whites, amused by the question, and his eyes landed on me for half a second. "Ass."
"My man." Justin cheered.
"Sky." I heard my name and searched for the source. It was that blonde guy from earlier."Truth or Dare?"
I could hear my heart beating faster. I noticed that eyes were all on me, with very inquisitive eyes, probably because I hadn't spoken in the last ten minutes.
"Truth." I answered, sitting up straight.
"Do you like white guys or black guys?" He asked, his words traced in chuckles.
I was a little taken aback by his question, because it was so unexpected.
"I-I don't have a preference." I simply said, which was the truth.
"Oh come on!" He groaned. "We all have a preference."
I knew that he wouldn't accept the fact that I really didn't have a preference, so I took a small sip of the bottle, which made everyone cheer.
I looked around because I felt strong eyes on me and then found out it was Alex. He was giving me a disappointing look but I just shrugged it off.
A few more rounds went until it was Elena's turn to ask a question. "Truth or dare, Alex?"
"Dare."
"I dare you. . . ." She contemplated. I knew I could trust her not to make me do anything too drastic. "To answer a question I will whisper in your ear and you have to say the name out loud but I won't say what the question is."
