SKY

It was the last football game of the season, and the last Friday I would ever have in high school.

I, along with my cheerleading team were cheering for our football team.

Elena pushed me to come. She thought it would be good for me; a distraction.

I was distracted, all right. Distracted by Alexander and that pink haired girl in the bleachers.

He was not paying attention to me. Just her.

I didn't even know her, but he hung out with her all week. I tried not to hate her, but it was hard when my roots were so deep into Alexander.

He moved on from me so fast while I couldn't even look at another boy.

"Woah!" Elena exclaimed from beside me, and turned me from my shoulders until I was facing the field. "You missed it!"

"What?" I said, absolutely distracted by Alexander and that girl laughing.

"Tyler Bailey keeps looking over at you." She said, pointing at Tyler, number 08.

"No he's not." I groaned, turning to look back at Alexander. That girl was now lightly hitting his chest.

"Yes he is. Just watch him." She told me.

I kept my eyes on him. He then had the football and threw it all the way to the other side of the court, for another player to catch it. He then, indeed, looked over at me, then sent a wave at me.

"Oh." I waved back.

Tyler was in a few of my classes. He was in my Calculus class last semester, and was definitely the smartest one there. He was also in the Math club and Robotics club at our school, and was amazing at football.

It was halftime, so the football team started to make their way to the bench to talk to their coach.

Suddenly, Tyler spotted me and ran over to me.

"Hey, Sky." He looked nervous talking to me.

"Hi." I smiled, scratching the back of my head.

"Did you see me on the field?" He asked, his hands in the pockets of his shorts.

"I did." I couldn't help but laugh uncomfortably. I intertwined my hands behind me.

"I heard you got accepted to U-Dub." Tyler said.

"Yes."

"Well, I applied there, I'm still waiting for my acceptance letter." He told me, and I realized how golden his eyes were.

"You're going to get in for sure." I reassured him, applying my watermelon lip balm on my lips.

"I hope so. How did you even get accepted so early?" He asked me.

"I did all of the prerequisites I needed semester one." I explained and he nodded.

I looked back at Alexander, and that's when he was looking at me. Through his shades, I could see his eyes pierced on me. He had his elbows on his knees, and I've learned over the months that he sat like that when he was nervous.
