ALEXANDER

It had been weeks since that incident. I could feel us getting further and further, which fucking hurt.

I knew that Sky was in pain after that happened, but I missed her.

I couldn't just fucking go by her house each day and give her her fucking work, then leave. I wanted more of her. I wanted to laugh with her, see her smile, to hold her, make love to her, all at the same time.

Today was the day I needed her most. It was my meeting with the college I wanted to go to for my basketball in Virginia.

I needed Sky for that. To tell me that it'll all be okay, but she wasn't here.

My mother made me wear my white dress shirt and black dress pants, which I fucking hated.

I was in my car, all alone, outside of the cafe I was meeting him at. Already five minutes late, I should be bolting out of my car but I called Sky instead.

She thankfully answered on the third ring. "Hi Alexander."

Her voice soothed my nerves almost immediately. It was a natural thing now. Any dose of her calmed me instantly.

"I didn't tell you this, but I'm outside of the cafe where I'm meeting a college coach for the Cavaliers."

She gasped. "Oh my god! Why didn't you tell me?"

"You've been dealing with so much."

"Alex." She whined. "I'm so happy for you. Why are you calling me? Go to your meeting?"

"I need you." I sighed. "I'm ready to go pick you up. I'll be quite late but I need you right now."

"Don't worry, you'll be perfect. Flash your smile and be humble about your achievements, Alexander. Talk to him about why you want to get recruited by him, and just be your usual charming self."

Her words gave me determination. They were just what i needed before going to meet Thomas Kutcher.

"I love you." I said, opening up my car door.

"I love you. I'll go by your house so you can tell me all about it when you're done, okay?" She offered.

"Okay." I then hung up. I straightened my shirt and gripped my folder of my school achievements and shit.

Thomas was sitting at a booth alone, and looked up at me as soon as I entered. Thankfully, the café was pretty empty so the silence made me less nervous.

We began our interview. I could see that he was pretty angry about being ten minutes late, but then he warmed up to me.

Our talk went great, then he decided to take my binder.

In there was all of my basketball records, that I was proud of minus all of the fouls. Also, there was my grades which have thankfully all raised over seventy thanks to Sky. But I was quite afraid of what he would say about all of the suspensions. He noticed that those suspensions dropped in late September, as soon as Sky came to this school.

"You have a lot of things you need to work on, but other than that I'm quite impressed." He handed the folder back to me.

"I've been wanting this for so long, it would mean the world to me."
