SKY

Christmas break was over, but most unfortunately, my two weeks with Alexander were over.

The two weeks I spent with him were pretty perfect for the most part. With the exception of some rocky days.

We spent every second together and when he had work, I spent it with Layla.

Now going back to school was just bitter. I didn't want to go back to school because my two weeks out of school were completely amazing.

Rolling off of my bed, I groaned and started to do the morning routine I hadn't done for three weeks.

I missed having Alexander right beside me when I woke up. I could literally watch him for hours because he was just so beautiful.

It was crazy that my feelings for him were so strong in such a short period of time but there was not one ounce of uncertainty in my feelings.

Being back to school was very weird. Alexander and I were the talk of the school because we were so close throughout the day.

With what he said two weeks ago, it has put me even more in the hot seat but I didn't care anymore because I was with him.

I walked into school, wearing my uniform with a small soft velvet sweater over me to keep me a little warmer. Alexander had texted me this morning, saying that he couldn't wait to see me so that was the only thing on my mind.

Through the heavy stares of the hallway, I made my way to my locker to put away some of my stuff in my backpack.

"Hi, girl." Elena startled me, grabbing my shoulders excitedly from behind.

I found it hard for her joy to rub off on me this time. "Hey."

Elena heard about what Alexander had said about me just like everyone at this school. She spoke to me about it and told me how she practically beat the shit out of him in New York when she found out.

"You okay?" Elena asked, concerned.

I shook my head honestly and looked around again. There was a group of freshmen girls in the corner that were whispering and laughing at me, which caught my eye.

Elena followed my gaze then yelled at them. "What the hell are you looking at?"

They then dispersed and left me alone.

"The rumours will die down eventually." Elena tried to console me. "Don't worry about it."

"Will they?" I asked. "Because it's been two weeks and everyone is still talking about it. If they see Alex and I together, it'll only make it worse."

"Speaking of the devil. . ." Elena trailed.

My eyes moved to Alexander at the end of the hallway. We immediately made eye contact, which he then granted me a side smile with.

He walked in my direction almost slowly, towering over everyone else.

"Mr. Scott." His History teacher stopped him midway, which gathered half of his attention. "You're getting back your paper today but I just have to say, yours was probably the best in the class. In all my career, actually."
