Elsa had been up most of the night, catching a few hours of sleep on accident, drooling on a couple of papers she hadn't quite finished yet.
"Why can't the papers do themselves." Elsa grumbled, stacking the ones she had completed in a pile, ready to be mailed.
"Those are some dark circles Elsa." Anna rubbed her shoulders as she walked in hesitantly. "You can't keep doing this you know."
"If I don't, nobody will." Elsa shrugged, plopping back down in the desk's chair to finish the rest of the paperwork.
"Elsa enough." Anna pulled the quill out of her hand. "We need to get you an accountant so you have more sleep. Now get."
Seeing that Anna was as insistent as ever, Elsa walked away from her desk, peering back to see if Anna was serious.
Sure enough, Anna pulled the library's key from it's hook, and locked the door behind them.
"But Anna-" Elsa began to protest.
"No buts Elsa, you heard it from the guardian of fun last night, you need a break." She stuffed the key deep into her dress' pocket and huffed past her.
Elsa followed Anna in shock,
"How did you know about that?"
"The letter was open on your desk dingus." Anna winked at her.
"Who is Jack Frost anyways?" Elsa asked right as the two had reached the inner gate of the castle.
Anna giggled a little, snorting a tiny bit as well, "you don't know?"
"Am I supposed to?" Elsa wondered, hoping that he wasn't a king that she had declined a visitation to.
"That'd make it hard for you to see him." Anna shoved the gate open.
"See him? What is that supposed to mean?" Elsa asked, slightly agitated that she was having to pick it out piece by piece out of her sister.
"Legend says that there are some beings if you will, that watch over us and protect us from evil forces."
"That doesn't answer my question." Elsa pointed out.
"No, but don't you see, or not see cause-oh nevermind. Back to the point, these beings are not seen by those who don't believe they exist. So if you don't believe in him, Jack Frost that is, you can't see him." Anna explained, all the while weaving to and fro between the market's busy square.
"How do I believe in something I can't see?" Elsa asked as Anna opened the door to a wonderful bakery in the market. Elsa's favorite to be exact, Oaken's sweet sweets.
Leaning against the counter was a boy, not much older than she, wearing a blue hoodie and worn brown pants.
He held an oddly shaped staff in one hand, and with the other, he pulled down his hood, showing off his artfully mussed white hair.
"I think you already do." Anna grinned.
"Is that him?" Elsa whispered.
Anna grinned even wider now as the boy sauntered towards them.
"Hello Anna, always a pleasure," he shook her hand, "allow me to introduce myself," he bowed, waving his hand in a flourish. "I am Jack Frost, guardian of snow and fun, hello busy queen, I've heard you've been kind of . . . lacking in the joy department?"
