Dante hesitantly pulled the gloves on, "what are they supposed to do?" He asked.
Anna bit her lip. "Conceal don't feel, if you wear them, it should help cover up your powers." She got off the bed and looked out of the window, hoping to see Elsa approaching.
She wasn't.
It was to be expected, since Anna wasn't sure exactly how long it took the terror mail to find her and deliver the letter, but she was positive that Elsa would come immediately after reading about their predicament.
But then again, maybe she wouldn't, the mission she was on was for the greater good. By defeating the ominous threat of the fear of death.
If that happened, Anna wouldn't know exactly what to do. She had no experience with magical powers or how to best teach someone to control them.
"But I don't want to hide them. Isn't that why Queen Elsa almost froze our kingdom? Because she kept them buried inside? I already can't control them and if I bottle them up now, I don't want to know what would happen if I did." Dante said, still holding the gloves in his hands.
Anna gnawed on her lip, "Elsa please hurry." She whispered before turning back to Dante, pulling a grin on her face. "Don't worry, you won't have to wear them for long, Elsa will be back soon."
Dante stood and joined Anna by the window, looking at the overcast sky, thunder rumbling in the distance.
"But what if she doesn't. I can't wait for her to come, it could be months." He muttered, twisting his fingers till they turned white.
"Or she may not make it back." He quietly added.Anna felt the blood drain from her face. "She will come back, she has to."
The thought had surely crossed her mind that Elsa wouldn't ever return to Arendelle, though she tended to trust her sister to make it home alive.
They watched the storm in silence as it drew nearer, odd winds rushing into the room.
The air smelled as if it had been tossed through a pool of tar. As though darkness had seeped into it.Dante turned away from the window and squeezed his eyes, rubbing his temples as though he were in pain.
"Are you okay?" Anna asked, kneeling to look him at his level.
He barely opened his eyes, enough form Anna to see that they had begun to glow again.
"I feel it."
He said, gritting his teeth together.
"It churns my head, like a heavy blanket over my body."
He fell to his knees with a groan as lightning flashed nearby.Anna looked at the storm outside again, seeing that the clouds had begun to shift with the wind, like the beginnings of a tornado.
"Dante, look at me, you got this-" she began to say before he cut her off, pushing her back.
"I need to go somewhere I can't hurt anyone."
"You're fine here-" Anna tried to assure him."NO!!! I mean a dungeon! Something underground!!" He said before he let out an agonized scream.
Kristoff burst through the door, his eyes wide in alarm. "What's going on!?!" He shouted above the howling winds rushing through the room, surrounding Dante.
"We need to get him to the dungeons!!" Anna said, grabbing the gloves off the bed as Kristoff picked the boy up.
They ran through the castle, some guards joined them, running along protecting all Anna's sides.
She led the group down the cellar stairs, worry building up inside her as the boy continued to cry out in pain.
She opened the special cellar that was made for Elsa in case she lost control.
Dante's cries quieted, but the winds outside still battered the walls of the castle.
Kristoff settled him down on one of the beds, which Anna ordered for bedclothes to be brought for as well as cushions so he would be comfortable.
Kristoff came to Anna's side as she stared out the tiny strip of window that showed outside at the top of the cell.
"I don't think that's a normal storm." He whispered. "And I don't think Dante is causing it."Anna nodded. Her mind was scrambling to her past, trying to remember if any storms like this had happened, but she couldn't think of any.
This storm was as unnatural as Elsa and Dante's powers.A guard came to the door suddenly, his face ashen as if he had seen a ghost. He bowed briefly to Anna as he rambled, "m'lady someone is here to see you."
"I don't remember any meetings scheduled for today, who is it?" She asked, leading him out of the cell so that Dante couldn't overhear them.
"He- he said his name, his name was Death."
I'm so sorry for not updating this in soooo long!!! I kinda forgot about it to be honest. XP
