Patton looked around the giant ballroom, fixing the bowtie he had on. He then fixed his mask as he finally found the food and drink tables in the corner of the room, starting to walk over though he did hear some giggles of girls nearby, Patton looking to the ground self-consciously until he bumped into someone, meeting their dark mysterious blue eyes.
"-Oh, sorry there..." The boy Patton had bumped into said, turning around and seeing the shorter boy behind him, looking at his soft hazel eyes. He looked at him for a moment, not quite sure what to say before he adjusted Patton's mask a little, seeing it was crooked with a soft nervous smile.
Patton blushed lightly and he giggled nervously before mumbling quietly. "It's okay...." He nodded and looked away finally before then speaking again. "I was just heading to get some food..." He nodded again, then hearing a new song, this one being a slow dance one making the small boy fidget.
The taller boy looked towards the dance floor before looking back at Patton, then stepping out of the way of the food table for him. He looked down a little, glancing at Patton a few times, kinda wanting to dance with him as it seemed like this boy would be nice to dance with.
Patton then smiled again, stepping away before bombarded by girls who wanted to dance with him, making his eyes widen and he step back surprised, looking around for a way to leave.
The other boy stepped back a little after someone else was trying to get to the drinks table, then accidentally bumping into Patton again, the two turning around and then being unintentionally pushed closer to each other, the boy's eyes widening as he blushed a little.
Patton whimpered, growing uncomfortable as he blushed lightly finally grabbing the boy's hand and speaking. "I-I'm dancing with him..." He nodded and looked at the taller boy for help.
The girls stopped and looked at the two, the boy looking at Patton before he also looked at the girls. "You are?" One of the girls said, folding her arms. The boy looked at Patton, seeing that he didn't want to dance with any of the girls, then speaking up.
"Y-Yes...He is." He said simply, holding Patton's hand and then walking with him onto the dance floor, the girls' faces falling as they looked down, annoyed that Patton was already taken.
Patton breathed a sigh of relief before looking at the boy. "Thank you, you didn't have to agree though..." He nodded, feeling the boy take Patton's hands and putting them on his waist.
"I know." The boy said simply, then slipping his hand into Patton's hand gently, seeing that the girls were starting to move away and stop looking at the two boys. He looked down at his and Patton's feet, then speaking quietly. "Do you know how to dance...?"
Patton shook his head slowly before looking up at him. "My friend was gonna teach me but he never had the chance..." He mumbled, looking down as he thought about his best friend of childhood.
The boy looked at him before looking down a little. "O-Oh..." He said quietly, thinking for a moment before he looked back at Patton. "Well...I could teach you...If you like."
Patton then nodded. "I would like that..." He smiled softly and felt himself being brought closer, Patton blushing more as he was.
The taller boy smiled softly at Patton, then looking down at the two's feet, starting to step to the music a little. "Try and follow what I do, okay?" He said in a soft voice, gradually the two going a little quicker as the song quickened a bit.
Patton followed, keeping up pretty close before tripping and falling into the taller boy's arms making him blush very embarrassed. The boy quickly caught Patton, only noticing after that he was dipping him, blushing a little before chuckling nervously and helping Patton stand up straight again. "It's okay...You got the hang of it for a while there...Just try not to cross your feet over too much, okay?" He said, looking at Patton.
Patton nodded and smiled softly. "Al-Alright..." He whispered quietly, the small boy again following the boy's moves again.
The boy nodded and looked back down at their feet, stepping a little slower, not wanting to go too fast for Patton. After a bit, he smiled. "There you go...You're doing great!" He said, smiling at Patton a little.
Patton smiled and giggled softly, glad that he was actually doing it as he then looked up at the taller boy. "Yay..."
The boy smiled at Patton, then suddenly stumbling over his own feet and tripping back a little, quickly turning himself around and stopping himself from falling forward, ending up with Patton in a dipping position, the boy's eyes wide.
Patton blushed darkly, their faces inches apart as Patton looks at him in surprise. Patton then broke into soft giggles, a small smile appearing on his face. The boy smiled a little before also quietly chuckling, then noticing that Patton's laugh seemed quite familiar...Along with his soft hazel eyes as well.
Patton helped him stand straight and said. "Let's head outside...!" He nodded and took his hand, leading the taller boy outside of the stuffy, sweaty and giant ballroom.
The taller boy happily followed Patton, liking this short boy's company very much. Once the two were outside, the boy looked around, smiling softly as he then reached looking at Patton.
Patton then paused and look up at the taller boy, memorized by his eyes before asking. "Why... Why don't we take off our masks?" He tilted his head, then reaching to his own mask.
The boy looked at him and nodded a little, not see why not since they weren't in the ballroom anymore. The taller boy reached up and took his dark blue mask off, blinking a couple of times before looking down at it, then looking at Patton, his eyes widening a little.
Patton took off his own before looking up at the taller boy, gasping softly as he then dropped his mask as he whispered quietly. "Lo-Logan...?" He tilted his head, and reached out, cupping Logan's cheek.
Logan looked at Patton, almost completely lost for words, putting his hand over Patton's hand that was cupping his cheek. "P...Patton..." He said quietly, looking at the shorter hazel-eyed boy, absolutely surprised and internally overjoyed.
Patton then smiled softly and took a step towards him. "I-I haven't seen you since you moved... You... You didn't even say goodbye when you did." He nodded, thinking about when he and Logan would hang out when they were younger.
"I...I know..." Logan said, still stunned to see Patton after all these years. "I never got over the guilt I felt for not saying goodbye to you..." He said, seeing that Patton still had barely changed, having the same soft and bubbly personality and warm smile.
Patton hugged Logan and pulled him closer as he smiled more, starting to cry as he mumbled. "I missed you so much, Logan...." He nodded and hugged him tightly.
Logan didn't hug back for a moment, feeling his heart shatter and then reform again at the same time, then hugging Patton back tightly, never wanting to let go of him. "I missed you too, Patton." He said quietly, hugging Patton closer.
Patton looked up at Logan, crying harder as he smiled even wider, this being the happiest moment in years. Logan pulled away a little, looking at Patton with soft dark blue eyes, his own eyes sparkling as he tried not to cry. He cupped Patton's cheek, wiping a few tears away with his thumb before he leaned in closer and kissed Patton, his heart jumping, having waited so so so long for that kiss.
Patton kissed Logan back as he held onto Logan's hands, smiling brightly as he kept crying, the small boy also wanting to kiss him for so long. Patton leaned closer to Logan and deepened the kiss.
Logan smiled into the kiss, squeezing Patton's hands gently before he pulled away from the kiss softly, looking at Patton, feeling over the moon with happiness.
Patton then tackled Logan with another hug, crying more and more as he started to go on a rant about how glad he was to see Logan again. Logan smiled happily and hugged Patton back tightly, lifting him up off his heels, more than elated to be reunited with Patton again finally. Patton laughed as he then kissed Logan again.
