"You can't always assume that you have a seat at every discussion we have, Virgil!"
"I deserve a seat at every discussion because you suggesting your crazy and fanatical ideas is enough to give Thomas a freaking panic attack!!"
"How DARE YOU INSULT MY IDEAS! MY IDEAS ARE PERFECT!"
"PERFECTLY STUPID, THAT'S FOR SURE, PRINCEY!!" The two sides, Roman and Virgil, had been arguing with each other for at least the last half hour about things that didn't really need to be argued about but of course...Roman and Virgil could argue about anything and it could escalate very quickly. Patton then looked up from the couch worried, having to watch them argue and hesitated before walking over slowly, pulling out their comfort stuff.
"Ro, V, why don't you guys calm down and tak-" He was then cut off harshly, the fatherly side then jumping back in surprise.
"NO! I WON'T CALM DOWN, PATTON, BECAUSE EVA-NUISANCE HERE THINKS HE CAN GET AWAY WITH INSULTING WHAT I DO FOR A JOB!" Roman said, stomping his foot down and crossing his arms as he glared at Virgil, Virgil just snapping back at him.
"WELL, AT LEAST I DON'T YELL AT DAD!" Virgil yelled, Patton then bitting his lip. He then once again tried to calm the two heated sides, looking over at Logan who was sitting at the table doing work.
"Ro, I don't think he-"
"WELL AT LEAST I'M NOT CHILDISH ENOUGH TO CALL HIM DAD!!" Roman yelled back, everything going quiet as Roman looked at Virgil and then Patton, Logan looking up from his work as he heard this. Patton became silently as he looked down, tears starting to fall. He then broke down and violently pushed Roman out of the way as he then ran out of the common room quickly down the hall to his room, heartbroken about what Roman had said to him and the others. Virgil then bitting his lip softly as he watched the fatherly side leave quickly. Logan watched as Patton ran off, looking back at Roman with a stern look on his face.
"Roman...What did you just say to him?" He asked, Roman looking down and mumbling, his arms still crossed.
"I told Virgil that I wasn't childish enough to call Patton dad." He mumbled, still frowning at Virgil. Logan's eyes widened a little before he snapped his book shut, setting it down on the table and making his way over to Roman, angry at him for hurting Patton. Virgil jumped, surprised at Logan's sudden anger, then making the side wonder if Logan liked Patton but before he could ask or say anything Logan spoke, yelling at Roman.
"I am going to make one thing very very clear, Roman, and if I have to repeat it to you, the consequences will determine if you get a seat at the next discussion we have," Logan growled, pointing a finger at Roman as he backed him against the wall, Roman looking at Virgil worriedly before Logan turned his head to face him. "You can insult me, Virgil, Deceit, you can insult anyone else with your petty name calling or 'witty' comebacks...But don't you ever insult Patton again." He declared, Roman almost frozen with astonishment. "Have I made myself clear?" Roman didn't answer, stuttering before he tried to reason.
"B-But Virgil-!"
"I DON'T CARE ABOUT WHATEVER VIRGIL SAID, ROMAN! I SAID DO YOU UNDERSTAND AND I WANT YOU TO ANSWER THAT QUESTION!" Logan yelled, Roman quickly nodding as he looked at Logan, almost frightened. Virgil then looked at Roman wide-eyed, never knowing Logan could be that angry about anything. He then slowly walked over and tried to pull Roman away, only for Logan to go off again, startling the side.
"YOU ARE TO NEVER INSULT OR HURT PATTON'S FEELINGS AGAIN OTHERWISE IF I FIND OUT YOU HAVE, I WILL TAKE THAT SWORD OF YOURS AND SHOVE IT DOWN YOUR THROAT TO MAKE YOU STOP TALKING!!" Logan shouted, Roman immediately nodding to everything that Logan said, not wanting to get into trouble with Logan any more than he already was. "DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?"
"Y-Yes..." Roman stuttered quietly.
"LOUDER!"
"Y-Yes!!" Roman repeated quickly before Logan huffed and took a step back from Roman, still looking at him.
"Now...You are going to go to Patton and tell him that you're sorry." Logan ordered, looking at Roman with a parental glare, Roman looking down and nodding, rubbing his arm a little nervously as Logan pointed to Patton's room, Roman defeatedly heading over to apologize. Virgil wanted to follow but knew it was a bad idea, then sighing softly feeling bad and heading to his room.
~♡~
Patton was sobbing on the couch, a curled up mess, feeling like he had failed as a side and human being. Roman knocked on Patton's door, Logan right behind him to make sure that he said sorry properly. "Patton...? Can I come in, please?" The creative side asked, opening the door a little slightly. Patton didn't answer but his door then flung open, revealing the room was entirely blue as Patton kept sobbing and shaking on the couch, not even looking up at Roman and Logan as they entered.
Logan frowned a little, knowing that whenever Patton's room went blue it was because he was extremely sad. He pushed Roman towards Patton, Roman looking back at him nervously before looking at Patton. "U-Um...Patton...? I-I'm sorry I yelled at you..." He apologized quietly. Patton then looked up and whispered.
"I-I-I forgive you..." He then looked down as he kept crying, still feeling horrible at the moment, both his and Thomas' self-esteem down in the dumps. Roman looked down a little, still feeling guilty as Logan cleared his throat to get Roman's attention, nodding to him to carry on as he wasn't finished with apologizing.
"I-uh...I'm also sorry for non-directly saying that you're not our dad...That was foolish of me to say since you are the most parental of all of us...and I'm sorry for yelling at Virgil..." Roman said quietly, Logan sitting down next to Patton and putting a hand on his head, gently running his fingers through Patton's hair. Patton then relaxed into Logan's touch greatly, slowly calming down. His room became a little less blue as he then whispered.
"I-It's okay Ro... I-I know you didn't mean i-it..." He then nodded and smiled softly. Logan smiled a little, nodding at Roman as if to say that he had done a good job in apologizing to Patton. Roman smiled and sighed quietly, relieved that Logan was satisfied with his apologies before Logan spoke up, suggesting something unexpected from him.
"How about to make you feel a little better, Patton, we have a movie night?" He asked, looking down at the moral side. Patton then looked up at Logan and nodded, smiling softly as he whispered.
"Yeah... I..." He then sat up and hugged Logan, burring his face into the Logical side's chest. "Would like that." Logan's eyes widened a little and he blushed a bit, hugging Patton back a little before he pulled away, smiling softly at Patton. Patton smiled and giggled, looking up at Logan before now being in his cat onesie, burring his face back into Logan's chest happily.
Glad he had Logan there for him.
