Bad luck.
Logan was cursed with it...just his luck to get cursed with bad luck for his whole life.
He knew that he'd never be able to find his soulmate...he was too clumsy to find someone that would be even remotely attracted to him.

No emotions.
Patton couldn't feel anything until he met his soulmate... He couldn't feel love, happiness, anger, sadness, anything.

As Logan walked home from work, tripping over himself a few times, as usual, it was raining. The perfect day that Logan decided that he wouldn't bring his umbrella. He frowned, folding his arms as he walked in the rain, only to be splashed with water from the curb every time a car would drive by.

Patton walked down the street a few meters behind Logan, using his umbrella walking quietly. It wasn't like he could jump and skim puddles, nothing brought joy to him. He then saw a boy tripping and shivering on the other side of the road, making Patton walk a little quicker and walk next to him, using his umbrella to cover him. He then walked in silence looking away as he watched the rain, again feeling nothing. Logan looked up as he saw the rain had stopped falling on his head, seeing that there was now an umbrella sheltering him. He looked to the person beside him holding the umbrella, the boy's face quite content looking.

"T-T-Thank y-you..." Logan managed, often being one to stutter from embarrassment.

Patton nodded, replying in an emotionless tone. "You're welcome." He then looked foward before asking. "Where are you going?" His voice still chilling and monotone.

"M-My home...o-on C-Croftwood s-street..." Logan said, stumbling a little as he tripped over his own foot, looking down in embarrassment. He glanced up at Patton, finding his content face quite upsetting...It looked like this guy had never felt anything in his whole life. Patton then nodded then taking Logan's hand, leading him to the tie-wearing young man's place.

Once they reached it, Patton gave him the umbrella before turning and starting to walk home himself, silently once again.
Logan clenched his hand into a fist once Patton let go of it, watching Patton walk down the street without an umbrella. He didn't even seem to care that he was getting wet...it was like he wasn't even sad about it. Logan looked down a little sadly, seeing that his shoe was untied...again.

He bent down, putting the umbrella down before he started to tie his shoe. Little did he know he made the mistake of putting an open umbrella down because then suddenly a gust of rainy wind picked the umbrella up and it cluttered down the stairs and started blowing down the street. Logan's eyes widened as he quickly fumbled to finish tying his shoelace and ran down the stairs again, tripping but getting up and running after the umbrella.

Patton's eyes followed the umbrella and then he grabbed it seeing Logan run up. He then handed him the umbrella, Patton feeling something in his chest when he locked with Logan's dark brown eyes. He then bit his lip softly and feeling his face become bright red as he noticed how handsome Logan was.
Was...Were these emotions...?

Logan froze and his eyes widened, feeling his heart leap a little as he found Patton's calm blue eyes almost entrancing. "Thank y-you..." He stuttered, looking down as he tried to adjust his glasses, only to have them fall down again. Out of luck, Logan guessing it was bad luck (although it wasn't) another gust of wind pulled the umbrella closer to Patton, Logan tripping over and falling on top of Patton, his glasses falling off as they both hit the concrete.

Patton blushed darkly and then picked up Logan's glasses, placing them on him. He then smiled sheepishly and mumbled. "I-I'm Patton..." He then blushed more realizing...
He'd never stuttered before.
Patton then looked up at Logan wide-eyed, he was his soulmate, he's the reason he could feel things... He then smiled more and started to cry tears of joy.

"Y-You...y-you're crying..." Logan said, getting off of Patton and standing up, holding Patton's hands. "Why are you crying?" Logan asked before he stopped. He didn't trip over when he stood up...and he didn't stutter.
He had never not stuttered before.

Patton smiled softly and whispered. "You're my soulmate..." His eyes widened, he then yelled, excited. "I CAN FEEL EMOTIONS!" He then started laughing and picked up Logan then twirling him as he smiled more, then placing Logan down. "I can feel!"

"Y-You can?? You are?? I-I am?!" Logan could barely believe it, stuttering out of disbelief instead of embarrassment. "I...THAT'S WONDERFUL!!" He laughed happily, picking Patton up and twirling him around, not stumbling once as he hugged Patton tight.

Patton hugged him back, laughing as he then kissed Logan passionately. He pulled away and smiled. "Thank you...Thank you so much..." Patton started to cry again, then hugging him closely.

Fireworks went off in Logan's stomach as Patton kissed him, nearly forgetting to kiss him back before he pulled away and hugged Patton back tightly. "You're very welcome...Patton..." Logan said happily, feeling like the luckiest person in the world.
