People are funny. I can say some are complete assholes while others are heavenly angels, but it wouldn't be true. There are different shades of grey in this world, it is not binary.
We are all capable of good and bad, doing deeds that are seen as morally correct by society or not. A girl stealing a candy bar doesn't make her a bad person. A boy that gives a compliment to someone isn't always a good person. People have reasons for their actions, choices and the paths they take in life.
That girl may have stolen that candy bar for her family, who is homeless on the streets. That boy may have held the door open to manipulate someone into believing he is a good person.
If we weigh the pros and cons, one can say if someone is generally good or bad but whether someone is or not is also determined by social constructs. Are there universal and humanitarian rights and morals we can all agree on?
In some countries, genital mutilation can be seen as a right of passage, in others as a horrific crime. Now, in America, some believe abortion is murder while others believe it's a choice that should be decided by the one who carries the fetus in their uterus. Are you to say that the one who performs genital mutilation on a young person is bad if that is seen as normal in some countries? What about if a woman decides to abort a fetus? Are these people good or bad?
Tell me what is good? Bad? Everyone thinks differently. I have my opinions, what are yours?
