I was now awake, but my eyes were still shut. I slowly opened my eyes. I was in someone’s bedroom. It must of been an extra room in Ashton’s house. I went to lift my head up, but plopped back down. My head was killing me. I really had too much to drink last night. I can’t even remember what happened when we all went into the basement. Everything from that point on is a blur. I then looked up at the time to see it was 1:38pm. I then decided to shut my eyes for a few more minutes. I then felt Michael shift around next to me. I rolled over slowly to face him. I then saw he was awake as well.
“Well good morning.” I smiled.
“Morning.” He said.
“Last night was interesting.” I giggled.
“It was awesome.” He then pulled me closer to him and I rested my head on his chest.
“What happened when we went into the basement last night?” I asked, hoping he remembered.
“I don’t really know. All I remember is Calum and this kid dancing on the table and the table collapsing under them.” He said, followed by a small laugh thinking about that from last night.
“I don’t remember that- oh wait I think I do!” I shouted, but shushed myself instantly.
“That was hilarious.” Michael laughed.
We then both laid there in silence for a moment.
“C’mon lets get food I’m starving.” Michael said, slowly crawling out of bed. I did as well and we both slowly made our way downstairs to the kitchen.
When we got down there, Ashton and Luke were sitting in the kitchen talking, probably about shit from last night. Calum wasn’t here so he was probably still in bed.
“Well good morning.” Ashton smiled.
“Morning.” we both said, taking a seat at the table.
“That was a fucking crazy night.” Luke said, taking a sip of his water.
“It was, my head is killing me.” I said, holding my head in my hands.
“So you guys want anything to eat?” Ashton asked.
“You got bagels?” Michael asked, opening the fridge and pulling out a diet coke.
“Yea in the bag over there.” Luke said, pointing to the brown paper bag on the contour. Michael put his soda down on the table, then walked over to the bag and pulled out two bagels.
“Kayla you want one or two?” He asked.
“Two plain bagels. If that’s alright.” I said, taking a quick sip of his diet coke. He brought over two bagels for me and two for him. I then reacted for the butter and began to eat. I was starving. A few minutes later, Calum then stumbled down the stairs. He looked like he had a rough, yet amazing night.
“Morning Calum.” We all said.
“Mornin’.” He mumbled, as he took a bagel out of the bag and sat down with us.
“So how was your night?” I asked.
“It was great, but my back hurts.” He said, rubbing his back.
“Probably from when the table collapsed under you last night when you were dancing on it.” Michael said, causing everyone to laugh then remembering that part of the night.
“That was a great night.” I said, remembering everything that I actually could remember.
“It was it really was.” Calum said smirking at us.
“Did you hook up with Christina last night?” Luke asked, pointing at Calum. Calum didn’t said anything. He just nodded his head and smiled. The boys all high fived him and patted him on the back. I guess that this was a major accomplishment for him or something.
“Everyone is going to be talking about that at school on Monday for sure.” Michael said.
“After all the alcohol everyone drank, if they remember.” Ashton said, finishing his bagel.
We then all finished eating and then started to help clean up since mainly the kitchen was a mess. We all were talking about more shit from last night while cleaning up, but then Luke brought up something I don’t remember coming out of my mouth.
“Yea and Kayla you were saying shit about being homeless and these two guys Matt and Nick.” He laughed and so did Ashton and Calum. Me and Michael looked at each other and our eyes grew wide. We then decided to play along and laugh along.
“Really? Yea I probably said crazy shit last night.” I said, continuing to pick up cups.
“I remember that! Yea you were going on and on about how you were homeless and you had a friend Alexa and yea you really did drink a lot last night.” Calum said, putting stuff into the sink.
“Ha yea I don’t know where that came from.” I said. I really wasn’t ready to tell them about everything just yet.
“Okay we got to go home now my parents need me for something. I’ll see you guys Monday bye.” Michael said, getting our stuff together, then pulling me out.
“Okay bye guys!” I quickly said. We then walked out and to Michael’s car. When we got in, I took a breath of relief.
“You really got to tell them soon, or try not to say shit when you’re drunk.” Michael said.
“I was drunk I don’t know what the fuck I say when I’m fucking hammered.” I said.
“Alright alright, but I think we have to tell them eventually. Because one day they want to hang out at your house. Well what are you going to say then?” Michael asked.
“True true. Maybe next time we see them I’ll tell them.” I said, taking Michael’s hand in mine.
We then pulled out the driveway and started making our way to the place I now call home.
